A common currency might be the way forward for Dovani, the finance minister says

Dovani has been in a lengthy process of growing cooperation and clower relationship in ways more than just a single one, like diplomacy, military or, obviously, economy. Despite it being a slow and not as proactive process, there is significant process that is reflected in the collective economic growth and attractiveness of Dovanian economies. However, there is still a major problem that the continent is yet to solve: currency. Ever since the slow downfall of the Lourenne, and its fleur, which has been used across the Dovani as the single international currency, now no longer truly services it purpose, and represents a rather stagnant and an overshadowed economy and currency, by other more appealing economic units, like Egelian crown.

But, for Dovani, and Bianjie especially, who fight for a united Dovani, united from foreign influence, and united with its own institutions, be it diplomatic, military or economic, it is a serious question, that opens doors for big and important internal discussions. Among many of those discussions, is the recent speech by the Bianjian finance minister Ilha Kesiketeng at the College of Dovani in Guihecen, where the Minister of Finance expressed her opinion that Dovani might want to look on a possibility of creating a single common currency, that may or may not be adopted by the countries across the continent, and serve as the monetary unit that will as a uniting and stabilising tool for the continental economies. According to Kesiketeng, a common currency would also be helpful in creating foundation for even closer cooperation, and creation of common instutitions. "However, I fully understand the difference in ideological and economic stand points of different countries across our shared homeland that we call Dovani", said finance minister. "But, I still believe a common currency might be something that, if implemented right, can be a way into big leagues, as kids say". Kesiketeng added that if Dovanians are ought to cooperate between themselves, a common currency will be an important factor in making it more accessible, more standartised, and thus more oriented towards the ordinary people, as well as making Dovani a powerful competitor and a major market for business beyond the continent.
 
Kesiketeng added that for a continent as big and complex as Dovani, there must be a massive research, and a possibility to kickstarting the regional common currencies, like in the South, East, possibly Northwest, which would help peg the smaller regional economies to that newly-created currency, stabilise the markets and help countries control the monetary policy, before being able to slowly transfer towards, and finally adapt the bigger, more unstable at the beginning, but stable and economically profitable pan-Dovani common currency. "I want everyone to understand, we are not in Makon or Keris, where it is just three or four countries. That is extremely easy to manage", said Kesiketeng. "Dovani has 28 countries, representing a billion and a half people, which is 1/4th of the world population, so if we were to do it, it must be done delicately, with precision". Still, Kesiketeng remains doubtful about the chances of this happening, as she points out clear opposition from a number of state actors across the Dovani, for many reasons, however, she remains calm and understandable, and ready to communicate the position, and be open for a debate. "I am not the foreign minister, but I am still the minister, who participates in a number of pan-Dovani conferences, and I have a platform to showcase our position, our openness to discuss it, because we have this opinion, and we are ready to defend it", said finance minister.
