Yeudi terrorist group acknowledge murder of Dariusz Mech

This afternoon, Valruzian national broadcaster TVW has received a video where a terrorist group named "Mooldet Vetahila" claimed to be the authors of the terrorist attack carried out two months ago that murdered Sovereign Valruzia leader Dariusz Mech when his car exploded. In the video, the group justifies their act as a result of the "unacceptable rethoric" of the nationalist leader, who claimed that, if in power, would completely ban all religions in Valruzia, including Yeudism – Valruzia's second largest religion with around 14% of the total population and home of the largest Yeudi diaspora in Terra. 

The video, approximately four minutes long, shows six masked individuals speaking in both Valruzian and Yeudi, with a flag bearing the group's emblem – a golden menorah superimposed over a stylized map of Valruzia – visible in the background. The speaker, identified only as a "representative of the movement", stated that Mech's statements constituted "an existential threat to our people and our faith" and that the group had "acted where words had failed".

The release of the video has sent shockwaves across the country, as until now the December bombing had been claimed by no one, with investigators unable to determine with certainty whether the attack was the work of a domestic or foreign organization, or an organized group versus a lone wolf. The confirmation that a Yeudi extremist cell operating within Valruzia is responsible has reignited a deeply uncomfortable debate about religious tensions in the country.

Newly elected Chancellor Zenon Golas convened an emergency session of the National Security Council shortly after the video was broadcast, which was followed by a brief statement delivered from the steps of the Chancellery.

"There is no rhetoric, no political position, no statement – however offensive – that can ever justify the murder of a human being. Dariusz Mech was a Valruzian citizen, an exceptional figure and politician and a brilliant mind. His killing was an act of terrorism, and those responsible will face the full weight of Valruzian law. Rest assured we will not stop until this terrorist criminals find their fate behind bars. And this criminal act will not stop the work of this government towards assuring a fully functional nation immune to the arbitrary and absurd decisions of religious minds."

The Prime Minister also addressed the Yeudi community directly, warning against any collective blame being assigned to what he described as "a peaceful and integral part of our national fabric".

"I hope and know that this criminals do not speak for the noble Yeudi people of Valruzia. It speaks only for itself and for hatred".

The Interior Ministry has announced that a joint task force involving the State Security Bureau and the National Police has been activated, and that several individuals are already being questioned in connection with the investigation.

Perhaps most alarming to observers was the final segment of the video, in which the group issued what appeared to be a direct threat to other political figures. The speaker warned that "any candidate, official, or movement that seeks to erase our presence from this land should understand that Mooldet Vetahila is watching, and Mooldet Vetahila does not forget and does not forgive."

Security services have immediately elevated protection protocols for several prominent politicians, including members of the government.

The Grand Council of Valruzia issued immediately after the broadcast an emergency statement, describing themselves as "horrified and deeply ashamed" by the actions carried out in the name of their faith. Chief Rabbi Eliyahu Zlotec called on all members of the community to cooperate fully with law enforcement.

"This group does not represent us. It does not represent Yeudism. It represents only fanaticism, and we reject it completely and without reservation. Valruzia is our home, and we are, first of all, Valruzians. Nothing justifies the killing of a brother or sister, no matter how much we might disagree with them."

Several Yeudi community centers across the capital, Nowogard, have reportedly increased their own security measures amid fears of retaliatory attacks, a concern echoed by human rights organizations monitoring the situation.

Most opposition parties have largely avoided capitalizing on the moment, though Valruzian Alliance has already begun circulating statements online framing the attack as evidence of what they call "the incompatibility of Yeudi faith with Valruzian sovereignty", in a language that has drawn swift condemnation from civil society groups and the Valruzian government. The Yeudi-based political party "Our Homeland", who stopped taking part in elections a few years ago due to lack of improved results, also issued a statement, condemning what they called "nothing more than domestic terrorism" and asking the group to "stop the killing of innocent people".

With the election for the constitutional convention proposed by the Golas government mere months away, some are afraid that this group will attempt to carry out more attacks targetting politicians and prominent figures.
