State Diet passes Sekowan Neutrality Act in a majority; A commitment to neutrality.

One of the core promises within the Liberal Peoples Party platform has been the ever so elusive enforcement of Sekowan Neutrality. While Seko is largely unaligned in the global order, neither apart of the Dovanian Union (but a member of the West Dovanian Union), and neither a signatory of the Altéa Accords or any other Pan-Anantonese Ocean signatures, the LPP has long campaigned on protecting Seko from being dragged into foreign issues. But many have often questioned how Sekowan Neutrality could be enforced. Just before the end of the year, the State Diet convened as the Liberal Peoples Party pushed forward the "Sekowan Neutrality Act", providing a proper answer to the question.
The State Diet was rather surprisedly, able to pass it relatively quickly and with a majority, securing unanimous support from the LPP, and securing most support from the CDP and even the SMP. With Prime Minister Aki signing it into law, the SNA looks to formally position Seko as a neutral state, and refrain from joining anything resembling a bloc. However, Seko will still keep its commitments to the WDU, and will still engage in positive and cordial diplomacy with all states, especially as the Cooperative Democrats have been pressuring their coalition partners, the LPP, to pursue closer ties with other Anantonese Ocean states.
Despite the SNA's passage, there has been some friction within the LPP-CDP Coalition, as the Liberals have been opposed to signing the Altéa Accords, arguing that it would violate the recently enacted SNA, sticking to a more fundamentalist interpretation of neutrality, but the CDP has argued that the Altéa Accords would simply establish relations with the signatory states of the AA, and not chain Seko to any bloc. Whatever the case, it seems Seko is looking towards neutrality for the long term.
