Huang Zitao Critizices NP Government Reforms
The Lotus Party leader in first press conference expresses "deep reservations" about Feng Zinyue government

In his first press conference since becoming Lotus Party leader, Huang Zitao had some harsh words for the Chancellor and her Nationalist Party majority-government. Appearing with Yi Cijiong of the Jiaozhi Yi's and Ming Youhua of the Anle Ming's, Huang critiqued Feng's closed-door meeting with various noble families, and accused the government of "picking favourites" and consulting only those noble families which support the Nationalist Party:

We are deeply concerned that this government will use these changes to stack the deck in their favour. If the Nationalists are planning to move away from our republican system, the conversation should be extended to everyone, not just those who support Feng Xinyue and her government. Today we introduced legislation to ensure that with the restoration of the nobility, only those with legitimate noble claims will be able to attain the status. The Lotus Party will not support any restoration of noble rights without the passage of this legislation.

Huang Zitao explained that the Lotus Party "respects our imperial legacy" and would support a transition back to monarchy, but as Huang added:

If Feng Xinyue doesn't want to work with us, her constitutional overhaul will be dead-on-arrival to the National Conference.
