Welcome, welcome, everyone, to this exciting election night brought to you by TVW, Valruzia's state-run network! It's yet another election day, and we're here to guide you through the vote count and the ensuing debate! My name is Marcel Kisielewski, and I’m here in the excellent company of political analysts Tadeusz Kotlarz and Elwira Pyrkosz, as well as journalists Stefania Chomicka and Denis Kuchta. Welcome—it’s a pleasure to be with you. Let's start with early expectations for the Valruzian parties. What can we expect from today's vote?

Tadeusz Kotlarz (T.K): Well, this election is of course a test for most, if not all, of them after the successful constitutional reform, but it's certainly a test for Sovereign Valruzia, perhaps it's first major test since the Szymon Nowik's era, I'd dare to sat.

Stefania Chomicka (S.C): Indeed, and as many polls have been predicting, expectations within Sovereign Valruzia are high, as they are counting to perhaps reach their first absolute majority. We have to remember that even in Nowik's most popular times, Sovereign Valruzia's best result was 40%. This record was already shattered by Zenon Golas in the last elections when he achieved 41.6%, but now, under Eryk Karcz leadership, they are aiming for their absolute majority in seats. We have to remember that in modern times this has happened only twice, in 5670 and 5675, both times under the leadership of the Communist Party of Valruzia and Iwan Nowik's Chancellery. To do so now would set new highs for Sovereign Valruzia, and will allow them to rule without the contingencies of other parties. The Socialdemocratic–Agrarian Party movement to merge into Sovereign Valruzia will certainly give them that needed boost, but we will have to see how many of their previous voters agree to take this ballot.

Elwira Pyrkosz (E.P): And paraadoxically, such a good result for Sovereign Valruzia might be a demise for the KPW. Already at their lowest results ever since last elections, Judyta Kram's leadership is certainly at its lowest. The once-Chancellor of Valruzia's sole mission is not to end below the 10% threshold, which coming from a party that once – and not that long ago – used to command absolute majorities in the Sejm is certainly a disastrous goal.

Marcel Kisielewski (M.K): As first countings are about to start coming, we will remind the audience how the system works after the reform: Valruzia is a unitary constituency, meaning results are based on a single-level national constituency. 601 seats are up for election, with 1 of those seats belonging to the most-voted party in the capital city of Nowogard. But apart from the Sejm, Valruzia's lower chamber, since the reform there will be more issues up for election! In 2.5 years, 120 seats of the Parliament of the Regions, Valruzia's new Upper chamber, are also to be elected from the drawn districts, 2 seats per district. But tonight, Valruzians will also choose their first directly elected Chancellor–President, our new Head of State and Government elected in a nationwide constituency vote from the five final candidates elected by Valruzian Voivodeships. However, the counting of this vote will take place AFTER the counting for the Sejm is finished, so stay tuned with us afterwards! And without further ado, let's take a look at the first results already published!

M.K: So with almost 5% of the vote counted, Sovereign Valruzia has taken a considerable lead above the rest. What do we take from this?

Denis Kuchta (D.K): We have to remember that the Voivodeships are counting at different speeds. This is only a 5% of the national vote counted, but if we take a closer look, both Chynberg and Kampania are almost at 10% whilst Ruzia and Valusia – supposed Sovereign Valruzia's strongholds – are barely at 5%. This means that results are likely to change after the vote from the bigger Voivodeships start to flow in, but this does look extremely good for them. The question is not if they will win, it is how many seats will they take and if they will achieve their desired absolute majority. From the looks of it, my bet already is that they will.

T.K: I agree. Sovereign Valruzia can already start to pour in the champagne. It will be razor–thinned, but I also think they will get an absolute majority. Meanwhile, we see now that the People's Front of Kampania is ABOVE the KPW. Kampania has only counted 8% of its vote, but with this margins, if I were the KPW I would seriously start considering a radical internal change. The People's Front of Kampania only present a party list of the Kampanian Voivodeship and yet they've as of now surpassed a nationwide party. Well, two in fact, since they have also overtaken Valruzian Alliance.

E.P: And we'll see if it holds but as it stands now, the Valruzian right – understood as Forward Valruzian and Valruzian Alliance –  commands a 30% of the vote, their largest joint share since 5660, more than fifty years ago – if we exclude the brief momentum of the Valruzian Monarchist Party. It might not seem decisive, but it would mean perhaps that something is starting to grow on that side of the political spectrum.

M.K: And we have new updates! 15% of the vote is in.

S.C: Not big changes from this update but as we can see, Chynberg and Kampania are almost, if not already, at a quarter of their total vote counted whilst other Voivodeships are being slower in the counting, so we are about to see perhaps distorted results up until 70% of the counting or so. This is the fun game of democracy, I'd say! Never take anything from granted until the very end.

M.K: We are at 30% already! What are our thoughts now?

D.K: Now we are seeing Sovereign Valruzia dropping in the voting share, with the absolute majority moving further from them. However, that's mainly attributed again to Chynberg and Kampania, the most advanced countings, distorting the final result. We have to remember that Chynberg is considered a conservative region and Kampania is nowadays the FLK's stronghold, whereas Ruzia and Valusia are merely at 20% of the votes counted. Braze for huge twists and turns!

E.P: Yeah but again, it's worrysome to see that at 30% of the counted vote, the KPW is failing to secure that 10% threshold. Tonight is not looking good for them. And as for the People's Front of Kampania, I'd say we are now seeing them at their height, with such an. advanced count in Kampania and low in other regions. Now they should start going low little by little, but with these results we can already tell they will win an absolute majority in the Kampanian Voivodeship.

M.K: And we move to 64% counted! Here you can see how the results stand:

S.C: Big jump here, and we can see that the main affected are Sovereign Valruzia (in a positive way) and the FLK (in a negative way). As we predicted, now that Kampania is mostly counted and data from Valusia and Ruzia keep coming in, Sovereign Valruzia is speeding up again towards an absolute majority, whilst the FLK loses percentage of vote as a result. There is not much change regarding the other major parties, however.

M.K: There it is, we've passed the 88% counted and are racing towards the final results! Chynberg, Gryfit and Kampania have all of them finished counting, so we are only lacking the final results coming from Ruzia and Valusia. What can we expect in this final run?

D.K: Well, we can already congratulate Sovereign Valruzia on achieving their desired absolute majority. Although there's still some vote to be counted, it exclusively comes from Valusia and Ruzia, Sovereign Valruzia's strongholds, and seeing their performance in the other Valruzian regions, it's safe to say they are going to keep receiving votes from here. And as of now, they stand at 298 seats, only 3 short of an absolute majority. Those seats are at hand when 12% of the votes is still waiting to be counted. So yes, we are witnessing the third absolute majority for a single party in Valruzia's modern democratic history, and the first one not to come from the Communist Party of Valruzia.

E.P: A party that, judging by the current results, is racing towards a catastrophic night. They are not going to achieve their 10% objective, they are going to finish below it. And perhaps what's worse for them, is that even as of now, the People's Front of Kampania keeps and advantage over them. And on the right side of the spectrum, we are seeing Forward Valruzia and Valruzian Alliance clinging to that 30% threshold, an impressive result if we take into account the current political landscape of the night.

M.K: Well, that's it! All the votes are in! With 100% of the votes counted, Sovereign Valruzia has won the 5720 elections with 50.9% and 307 seats, followed by Forward Valruzia with 24.2% and 146 seats, the Communist Party of Valruzia with 9.5% and 56 seats, the People's Front of Kampania with 8.9% and 53, and Valruzian Alliance with 6.5% and 39 seats. Please share all your final thoughts!

S.C: Yes, Sovereign Valruzia has done it. Congratulations to them and especially to its leader, Eryk Karcz, who betted it all on the results of tonight, and it looks like it has paid off. The first absolute majority for a party other than the Communist Party of Valruzia, and the first one in over half a century and only the third one in Valruzian modern history, achieved after a deep constitutional reform promoted by them. This is a historic victory for them, and I'm sure they will celebrate accordingly. We still have to wait for the results of the Chancellor–President election, but whoever ends up being chosen has no alternative than to rule with Sovereign Valruzia, whether they like it or not.

T.K: On the other hand, I'd be surprised if Judyta Kram goes to sleep tonight without having tendered her resignation to the KPW's leadership. Tonight result for the Communist Party of Valruzia is, without smoothing it, a disaster. The once almighty KPW has fallen below the 10% threshold, has fallen below 10 million votes and is only 600,000 behind a regionalist party that only contested this election IN A SINGLE VOIVODESHIP. This is a disaster for a leader that was, not even that long ago, the Chancellor of Valruzia. Since Iwan Nowik left the leadership of the party before the 5685, the KPW has failed to find their ground again, and they have just now hit their head with it. Bad, bad.

E.P: And just as we predicted, the right has surpassed the 30% threshold for the first time in many decades. Of course, it is still nowhere close to a desirable result for them, but it looks like something might be shifting or moving in the Valruzian electorate. It is still too soon to make a verdict on this issue, but we will see if in upcoming elections, and especially for the Parliament of the Regions election, this trend continues.

M.K: But now, we are also expecting the results for the very first Chancellor–President elections, that will be out in a few minutes.

D.K: No surprises here. Former President Gawel Sandów is reelected but this time for the more powerful and new role of Chancellor–President, with 56.6% of the total vote. Therefore, there's no need for a second round of elections, as he has won an absolute majority. Now, it's up to him to negotiate with Sovereign Valruzia the composition of the next government.
