Baatrynsentii - Prime Minister Gal Asugbal has called for "restraint and constructive cooperation" by the regional and international community following the Custodian coup in Xsampa. The Dovanian nation has been a staunch ally of New Verham in recent decades and is a vital part of the Dovani Union and the Dovanian Security Organization. But, where other countries have condemned the coup and issued stark warnings, the Asugbal government has urged caution. 

We greatly appreciate countries like Egelion for all that they have done for our nation. However, remarks like the ones made by Royal Councillor Mondragon-Ferrer do not help us in creating a stable and substainable environment in Dovani and preserving dialogue and cooperation. We would like to urge our allies and others to show restraint and actually reach out their hand to help Dovani in overcoming this dillema

The Asugbal government has been suprisingly mild against the Custodians. Just yesterday the Western Capital Bank (BARUUN) announced that it would finance over 800 million worth of micro-loans to state-owned businesses and affiliated organizations in Xsampa, meant for a large part to "preserve a stable financial system in the wake of this transition." The package was announced following negotiations between the national government and BARUUN executives. Additionally New Verhamese diplomats have worked within behind the scenes diplomatic channels within the Dovani Union to maintain contact with the Custodians and seek to keep Xsampa committed to regional institutions. 

President Bor Khasar backed the Asugbal government in their approach, announcing that he would be willing to organize a regional conference to discuss, "in a constructive environment", the implications of the coup and what it could mean for Xsampa and the wider region. Prime Minister Asugbal ensured reporters that while his approach might differ from that of partners, he is still committed "to have the discussion about democracy in Xsampa and a right to exist for the now out of power oppossition."
