We fundamentally disagree that the Dovani Union is an 'economic union'; if the other states wish to pursue further economic integration, they are free to use the current or potentially new mechanisms of integration within the Dovani Union, but our Revolutionary People's Republic does not wish to grow more dependent on states so ideologically different. Had we not pursued a policy of diplomatic-economic diversification over the past years, the recent incident in Xsampa could have proved fatal due to the dependence on Xsampa that our economy suffered between 5712 and 5720. In the eyes of the Revolutionary People's Republic, the primary purpose of this Union is to present a united front to foreign adversaries outside of Dovani and to work as a common diplomatic forum while providing mechanisms for political or economic integration to states that find it desirable.
