Clashes Between Police And Terrorists In Aki! Travel Is Ill-Advised!

Violence is surging in Aki as the Communist Action Party continues its attacks against government authorities and perceived enemies.
While Aki was previously known as a hotspot for Communist organization, the local police had been capable of handling them in an orderly fashion. However, the Communists have recently concentrated their efforts in the town, staging numerous unconventional attacks against local police and businessmen through hit-and-run tactics.
Ali Fazeydan, a local convenience store owner who has been targeted by the group, described his encounter: "A week ago they came to me, demanding that I pay them taxes, as they considered themselves the legitimate authority in these parts. When I refused, they beat me and robbed my store, stealing my cash register."
The death toll from the attacks this month has reached 14. With local resources stretched thin, the provincial government has deployed additional counter-terrorism units from Lagori police to address the increased aggression.
The police have so far arrested 50 people in connection with the Communists, with a few others killed in shootouts with law enforcement. While the situation is being brought under control, it is recommended that citizens avoid traveling to Aki for the foreseeable future.
