Third Inter-Baegukese Summit Sees President Yuri, His Majesty the Maripgan Meet as Confederation Appears Likely
With reapproachment's pace hastening, many forsee a future Confederation between the North and South as all but inevitable

President of the Democratic People's Republic of Baeguk, Yuri Bitnari, today became both the first sitting North Baegukese leader to visit Gongmangdo during their reign, and even more crucially also became the first to be entertained in personal audience with His Majesty the Maripgan. 

There remains much conflict and unresolved history between the two sides, as the North still officially oppose the institution of the monarchy. However, the meeting of the Maripgan with President Yuri assured observers that both sides elevate the cause of Baegukese nationhood above themselves, and that the North and South will work to nonetheless achieve further cooperation in the future.

President Yuri and her counterpart PM Yoon Haneul are expected to discuss the details of a joint Confederation throughout this summit.
