Much to the suprise of both the citizens of Istapali and the international community, the Sublime Federal Republic of Istapali has finally a new prime minister after months of the president rulling by executive decrees due to a hung parliament.

The news came after the supreme court threatened to call in another snap elections as the deadline to form a government had finally reached its limits and the powers of the president couldn't extend it any further, this led to the ACP and PFP holding a series of negotiations that resulted in the agreement to form a grand coalition and emergency national unity government as a temporary solution to maintain law and order in the country and possibly try to sway the international banking institutions to lend them aid loans and avoid a second bankruptcy.

During his inauguration speech, Sidima Nombulelo promised to redress the nation through an ambitious welfare and economic rebirth package that would see the minimum wage raised by 40% alongside the enshrinement of the right to work in the constitution and the establishement of the Federal Labour Research Agency that would guarantee work positions to all adult citizens while promising internships for minors above the age of 16.

While many don't believe that his government will last a year, even less that he'll be able to put Istapali back on the right track with inflation hitting the thousands of percents, the mercetal being as worthless as dirt, famines destroying the country, and ebola wiping out thousands, but it gives a spark of hope during uncertain times such as these.
