To the absolute horror of the Istapalese government, their third and final request for an emergency 30 billion fleurs loan from the Bank of Lourenne was refused again, but this time it may signal the point of no return for the country.
While Nombulelo's government had placed all in on the fact that Istapali's long time rivals and competitors agreed to form a National Unity Government for the sake of keeping the country together and restarting the economy, the Bank of Lourenne still refused their request and this time they didn't even bother with giving an excuse. The government's response was immediate, the office of the prime minister accused Lourenne of racism, colonialism, and predatory behavior due to "them happily giving away moans for their Canrilles bitches like they're cookies, but when we request one to restart our economy they refuse us immediately like we're some trash they need to get rid of."
The news of the loan being refused sent the already dying stock market crashing down even faster until the entire building had been closed down and police called due to the alarming high suicide rate among betters there. The value mercetal hit rock bottom, collapsing by 4890% and inflation jumping to 73,382.91% and in response riots broke out with the Pan-Dovanian Pact for Socialism accusing the government of incompetence and an utter disgrace for the country as hospitals close down from the lack of treatment, Ebola wiping out thousands every day and literacy rates among the population reaching historic level, Istapali has became a hotbed for radical ideas to spread, especially revolutionary ideas.
