Following the new government composed by the PNL, PSD, and UOD, the Imperial State Council has passed a series of laws encouraging the further liberalisation of the economy, opening markets externally, easing regulations and taxes, as well as passed three polemical laws:

1. The increment of the age of retirement from 60 to 70 - which has been met with protests, especially by workers over the age of forty;
2. The privatisation of more schools, health institutions, and, notably, some national beaches under the reasoning of wanting to discourage and displace overpopulated beaches and tourists;
3. The most polemical of the three, the strengthening of the Armed Forces of Istalia, especially that of the intelligence services, which several members of the MdV and, especially, the PNC have reported having been investigated by this for no apparent reason. Most polemically, national service has been introduced for all people aged 18-30 to do, at least, two years of service and training in the army. This has been met with a rebellion by several young people all over the nation - though rather unsuccessful.

The PNL-PSD-UOD government has been met with a clear radicalisation as well as increasing instability and disapproval.
