Past Imperial Claimant Wu Bingwen makes rare appearance and comments on the affairs of Dankuk

The 91 year old Father of three, Grandfather of six, great grandfather of seven, and son of Hwangje Mi-Sun and reportedly Emperor Wu Ren, the last Emperor of the He Dynasty has made his first and as of yet only interview commenting on the events surrounding Dankuk:

Greetings Citizens of the Nation, I wish to make a formal announcement regarding the affairs of Dankuk but first I would like to extend my condolences to the House of Ryeo for their hardship at this current time and I am glad they made it out of Dankuk and are safe and they are welcome in my former home of the Imperial Yingdalan Palace.

As I am now more than 90 years old and there are times when I feel various constraints such as in my physical fitness, in the last few years I have started to reflect on life, and contemplate on my role and my duties in the days to come. Ever since my childhood, I have carried out the acts of my position in personal affairs, and at the same time I have spent my days searching for and contemplating on what is the desirable role of my position in society. As one who has inherited a long tradition, I have always felt a deep sense of responsibility to my people. In a world that is constantly changing, I have continued to think to this day about how my family can put its traditions to good use in the present age and be an active and inherent part of society, responding to the expectations of the people. In my travels throughout the country, I was made aware that wherever I went there were thousands of citizens who love their local community and with quiet dedication continue to support their community.

With this awareness I was able to carry out the most important duties, to always think of the people and pray for the people, with deep respect and love for the people. This is the true duty of a leader. That, is why I pray today for the safety and peace in Dankuk and its leaders. I fear the current regime has lost its sense of propriety and has caused unnecessary hardship on the people. My mother and aunt would have been greatly displeased with the the events in Dankuk and I fear for the future of my family-both Ryeo and Hwangje, and the people of Dankuk. I hope and pray that the leaders of Dankuk can come to reason and discover true inner peace and carry out their duties to the people and work together with the people to build the future of the country as is fitting of leaders. With this earnest wish, I have decided to make my thoughts known.

I also would like to admit the film about my late father was a very interesting take on his life and I am glad to have lived to see the day of its production.

So has said Mr. Wu, while tending his Koi pond while listening to music on his I-phone outside in the sunlight. When asked about potential claims to throne of Yingdala and recent affairs in Yingdala, he only had this to say "That used to trouble me greatly many years ago until one night I came across a saying in the Tao te Jing: Be content with what you have; rejoice in the way things are, when you realize that there is nothing lacking, the whole world belongs to you.' From then on I have been dedicated to the Way and have found true peace and it no longer is my concern. It is in Fate's hands."
