To better understand why and what led to the war happening, the movie's co-directors, consulted with Gem Publishing over their material from the Heritage Trials and The Meddling Affairs.
Supposedly, the war is tied to the Ezrahim, an ancient strife between the Kadmonim of the House of Elior.
