FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Lotus Party Exits SDP-Jien-Phoenix Coalition Government

TIAN'AN, Han: For the past 20 years, our party has enjoyed a great working relationship with our coalition partners. However, there has been a notable lack of harmony with regard to public policy and strong ideological differences. This has led to our coalition often voting in opposition to each other.

The Lotus Party engaged in this coalition to deliver the results of the 4330 Referendum, as well as the public's desire for a return to our traditional government. With the Act of Restoration poised to pass through the National Conference, a new chapter for our nation's glorious history is about to be written. As such, this coalition's purpose has been served.

Thus, effective immediately, all four Lotus Party cabinet members will be resigning from their posts. This includes:

The Honourable Ms. Sung Hyo-Rin, M.B.A, Minister of Finance
The Honourable Mr. Zhou Huiyi, J.D., P.hd, Minister of Justice
The Honourable Dr. Yao Huanyu, MD, MBBS, B.Sc, Minister of Health and Social Services
The Honourable Mr. Xing Yuhan, MEng, Minister of Science and Technology

We believe that we are leaving on good terms with our former coalition partners, and hope that we can continue to work together, when prudent, to deliver results for the Indralan people.
