Quickly rising from a life outside the spotlight, Lü Yejun, Ryeo heir and cousin to the Emperor, has officially entered the political scene with his popular election to the leadership of New Dawn. Since his immediate family's loss of support among homeland loyalists, Lü has been very public about his admiration for Indralan life and he began to find friends among the liberal nationalists of the Phoenix Party. Desiring to not let his family's legacy end with the murder of his father, Lü found greater interest in politics and, now recognized as the head of his family within Indrala, he hopes to forge a new destiny for the House of Ryeo.
As Lan Liao pushed the Phoenix Party towards official reorganization, Lü Yejun found himself seated on the founding advisory committee for New Dawn and, aided by nationalist support and backing from Lan, Lü established a base for his emerging political career. Leadership elections were set for April and it was not long before Lü positioned himself as a clear front-runner ahead of former Phoenix Party Secretary-General Fang Wei. Receiving nearly two-thirds of the vote, Lü Yejun has become the first elected leader of New Dawn.
