Tel Bira, Beiteynu - The excruciating August heat did not seem to deter any - with many choosing to appear extremely light in clothing - of the thousands that descended upon the streets of Yishelem, Tel Bira, Himmelshtern, Rishon Le Hofesh and other major cities of the Yeudi Homeland last week. The occasion? Celebrating the vibrant LGBTQ+ communities during a week-long city-wide parade and street party, as well as the announcement made by the Ministry of Defence that it would be widening its conscription policies to include a non-binary principle.

Men and women have equally served in the Beiteynuese Defence Force for centuries, either through permanent positions and careers or through the 2-year compulsory conscription upon reaching adulthood, as part of the reserve forces. While community service has generally remained as an option across the various administrations of the Beiteynuese Government, the military has always been the first choice of many young people.
