Fort William - Apparently official, is the fact that Luthori will likely see an alternate Prime Minister take over the Government after the 5572 general elections. Mrs. Pryce's National Labour Party remains deadly second, after some unpopular policies being pushed forward by the current Administration, such as the controversial education reform and end of compulsory military service within either the Imperial Luthorian Army, Imperial Luthorian Navy or Imperial Luthorian Air Force. These policies alienated the National Labour-Liberal coalition government from a good part of the Luthorian voters who were staunchly conservative, yet didn't vote at the last election due to disagreements with the Conservative Party's political direction, it leading more towards the center at the time. With the death of Jesse Lawrence, the door opened with the Unionist Conservatives to take back the Party's leadership and with Reinhold Carrington as its main contender.
With that in mind, and a general tiredness of the people from 15-years rule from the National Labour Party, either alone or in a coalition government, it seems increasingly likely that the Conservative Party will ascend to the Premiership in the aftermath of these years' elections.
Crown Street already having announced that PM Pryce was conducting a visit to Lourenne in order to continue the building-up of relations between Luthori & Lourenne and as well as to reassure the Lourennais Government about a future Tory administration and their likely approach towards Canrille. Mr. Carrington already stated during a campaign event and during the Debate, that he seeks to continue the current foreign policy, based upon trade and mutual assistance and that the Canrillaise policy wouldn't be modified, albeit that excluded "exceptional" circumstances, according to him.
Promising to persue "radical" reforms to Luthorian society and economy, he promised to "break off" the current helding consensus about state intervention in the economy, running on a prospect that the Luthorian Government should see its powers of intervention within the economy be reduced at the "bare minimum", running as a more "libertarian" candidate than ever before in Luthorian history, he also called for a reduction of state powers in favour of devolution, something normally unheard of within the Conservative Party. He vowed to meet every single Minister-President at Crown Street to "look into the concerns of the people of each subdivision of the Empire".
Although Mr. Carrington's economic campaign has been focused around the liberalization of the Luthorian economy, at an even greater scale than the one promised that the Labour-Liberal Government, he remained committed to be amelioration of the quality of service granted by state institutions such as the Imperial Health Service, the National Police Service, the Justice Department and other state institutions that he vowed to support during his entire term, while at the same time selling stakes out of government owned companies such Luthori Petroleum or the Imperial Gas Company to foreign actors and domestic investors. Detractors have dubbed him with the wish of "selling off the country", while supporters dubbed him as the "Harbinger of the Conservative Revolution".
Finally, he also vowed to support the Imperial Luthorian Armed Forces' modernization process, and notable fact, he's one of the most right-wing Conservative leaders to ever stand at an election, supporting restriction on euthanasia, abortion just to note a few of his policies, yet, during the entire campaign, in an attempt to re-assure future partners in Parliament, the Empress and the more moderate-minded populace, he stated that his "opinions on societal issues" wouldn't be a big theme of his Premiership and has only vowed to restore a "mandatory" and "patriotic" military service in the Armed Forces, something that has been withdrawn by the current government, following the CoDS' wishes to do so.
Mr. Carrington is an already known figure within the Luthorian political establishment, he's been the Member of Parliament for Chester for now over 12 years, having been re-elected twice, and he's now on his way to secure he and his Party's victory at the next general election, becoming Luthori's 4th Prime Minister under Empress Audrey's Reign and her second Tory Prime Minister. Mr. Carrington has been considered to be a "Hawkish" Tory Leader as he's now openly putting the option of military interventions to "protect Luthori's interests" and the "interests of the Luthorian-speaking states", as the interest of the Commonwealth will be a more looked-upon issue by the next Luthorian government led by Mr. Carrington. Of course, his foreign policy all depends on the person that he's going to appoint as Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
