After rumors emerged that Archduke Florentin Felix intended to dissolve the Eastern District Council, the nation is in turmoil. A coalition of the nobility, other conservative elements of parliament, high-ranking military officers and fundamentalist Hosianists has announced that it will form an interim government to "preserve the nation".

While the military presence in northern and central regions is approved or even welcomed by the civilian population, there are said to have been numerous riots in the area of the Touryou state between various factions of the military and the predominantly Kunihite population. Reports of militias bearing emblems of the Dundorf Knights Order have also been confirmed by several reliable sources.
