Republicans surge in polls

In recently published polls by the Dual Monarchist Market Affairs Institute, a newly emergent party just called “Die Republikaner” (Luth. The Republicans) are seeing a drastic increase in their poll numbers. Political experts explain that the population of Narikaton and Darnussia are looking with nostalgia back to the days of the Dual Republic as the consolidation of power by Theodora Lackmann is continuously viewed in a negative light. A lot of momentum has been gained by the rash political decision of Emperor Wrntukai II on ordering to shoot Xsampan vessels and his subsequent flight from the Dual Monarchy. Middle-class voters feel like the authoritarian restrictions and the overly-powerful crown which according to public perception is in the hands of corrupt maniacs are directly responsible for a regional trend of destabilization. While ideologically the electorate pivoting toward the Republican Party isn’t very homogenous, they’re united in their demand to abolish the crown and return to what they call “the righteous ways of old day Republicanism.” At least that is the approach that the pragmatic parts of the party are advocating for, other dedicately more left-wing elements call for a “New Dual Republic” (NDR) which works in favor of all instead of the few, words that remind one of the late Vanessa zum Clenonberg.
