Rishon Le Hofesh surrenders after port strike and naval losses

The aftermath in the port of the Beiteynuese city of Rishon Le Hofesh after Wrnuke's submarines unleashed a barrage of missiles.

Xsampa called for aid and Wrnuke gave it, with the Second Politburo eager to avoid war Xsampan mercantile vessels were escorted past the hostile fleets of the reactionaries and monarchists. In a recent escalation the primary fleet of the WJZR used its anti-air capabilities to shoot down several ICBM's flying to Xsampa. Negotiations were ongoing and the Politburo seemed hopeful that a resolution could be reached. This all changed when a well-coordinated counter-strike of the Xsampan navy decimated a Beiteynuese carrier strike group. The move pushed Yishelem to an act of great desperation by launching a nuclear ICBM on the Xsampan capital city of Metz-Leonid. The Second Politburo held an emergency meeting as soon as the news reached Wiel and the conclusion was quickly made: this action could not be ignored. A red line had been given to Beiteynu, it had been crossed once already but the nuclear attack was such an escalation that only one answer satisfied the Politburo. The declaration of war was issued the same day. The next hour every major city, or Nisrad, in Beiteynu received an ultimatum for unconditional surrender. Some did not reply, others attempted to continue negotiations as before. Yishelem unilaterally rejected the terms of the ultimatum as the only Nisrad, critics of the monarchy were quick to blame exiled King Wrntukai though sources claim he has little involvement in the current process. This all changed as the People's Naval Forces began their revenge for the nuclear holocaust.

The I. and II. Jelb'koékaiék Vlótzgrsho (1st and 2nd People's Fleets) were set on high alert and told to engage any and all Beiteynuese vessels. The two carrier groups linked up and formed a deadly formation that initially only picked off several smaller detached vessels sailing under the flag of Beiteynu. This was until they encountered the Hofesh Fleet on the western coast of Beiteynu, discovered through coordinates transmitted from the submarine flotilla VII. Jelb'koékaiék Kshivlótzgrsho (7nd Small Naval Detachment). There is yet to be an official after action report to be published but initial reports state that the carrier groups caught the Hofesh Fleet by surprise. The WJZR mourns the loss of two frigates and eight of its Z-35 fighter jets. The Beiteynuese Hofesh Fleet has far greater losses, with its intitial numbers of twenty warships being diminished greatly before it retreated in a panic. An official count has yet to be released but estimates are that the Beiteynuese lost half of the ships in the Hofesh Fleet. Comrade Admiral Frjsrl has spoken of a "great and justified victory for Xsampa and the WJZR". In the meantime the submarine flotilla went to the port city of Rishon Le Hofesh and launched a strike of dozens of advanced cruise missiles on the infrastructure of the city. Mainly the port, railways, and depots for fuel and ammunition were struck. The attack was intended to cripple the city out of any plans to continue this war. The city of Rishon Le Hofesh surrendered to Wiel only hours after the attack. Secretary-General Rotrovesk has pledged the attacks will not cease on other cities until "all of Beiteynu surrenders". Wiel intends to convict all those involved in the nuclear strike for crimes against humanity in a Worldburnerist court after the conflict.
