fFort William, Luthori - The Lord Northminster's Administration has recently came out against Yishelem's actions in the war that opposed it to Xsampa. The Luthorian Foreign Ministry today released a short memorandum on the Luthorian Government's opinion over the nuking of Xsampa's capital city, Metz-Leonid. The statement released was as follows:
Quote:"The gravity of the situation in the Democratic Republic of Xsampa is of the most concerning to the Government of Luthori.
Indeed, for the first time ever since incidents in the 5th millennium, nuclear warheads were used in warfare and targeted civilian sites over military ones.
Due to this, the Xsampan capital of Metz-Leonid, Xsampa's entire government apparatus and over 5 millions souls were taken away from this Earth without proper notice.
May this be a reminder of the cruelty and inhumane nature of nuclear warheads. Her Majesty's Government can only condemn the rash and irresponsible decision from the Yeudi Homeland's Government, which seems to have driven such Homeland into the abyss.
HM Government stands in solidarity with the Xsampan people in the face of such a tragedy and is ready to offer humanitarian aid as soon as possible."
A government spokesperson then came up with more details about the Luthorian Government's decision to not support the Moledet Medinat, as the Luthorian Foreign Office was likely to do with the arrival of the Lord Northminster in power. Yet in response to these surprises in regards to Luthori's position, the spokesperson stated the following:
Quote:While the Luthorian Government recognizes the existence of an long historical, cultural and economic bond with the Holy Land, the Administration remains committed to the Hosian ideals and teachings, the usage of nuclear warheads in warfare constitutes an grave act, which in the Government's perspective is a crime against the Xsampan people, or even, might we say, against humanity. We cannot work or stand by one of the greatest tragedies in recent human history. As such, Luthori, as per with the memorandum is condemning the Beiteynuese Government's rash, irresponsible and potential far-reaching in terms of ecological disaster, decision. As the memorandum put it, the Luthorian Government remains committed towards the preservation of peace around the World and to show our solidarity to the Xsampan people, an humanitarian aid package will be proposed to Parliament to unlock funds to help Xsampa's reconstruction after this whole tragedy.
In Fort William, it should be noted that the reaction from the Foreign Ministry was expected as Luthorians reacted negatively to the usage of nuclear warheads in an active warzone, a warzone which wasn't one per say, as it was a civilian zone behind the main frontlines in the Sea of Carina, Vascanian Sea and other theatres of operations.
Yet, it should be noted that a more prealevent idea within the Government is to, simply put, seize the Holy City of Yishelem for Luthori. Sir Arthur Sutherland KC, the most prevalent candidate for the Office of Foreign Secretary according to both The Times and The Weekly Telegraph has been a vocal supporter of Luthori "reclaiming" her "lost territories" in Majatra. The Knight stated in a right-wing podcast that "since the Jelbics obviously failed in their mandate towards the Holy Land and the protection of the Yeudi people, going as far as to betray the Yeudi Homeland in her time of need, well, not for unknown reasons to be fair to Vanuku, but still. Beiteynu was in a shark state of decline ever since HM Emperor Charles VII lost the Mandate of Elior. With Beiteynu now becoming a thing of the past, as secessionist government take over the territory, it seems that the Holy City of Yishelem needs a keeper, a keeper that will not be found in Canrille nor in Jelbe, but in Luthori."
With Sir Sutherland increasingly becoming influential within the Prime Minister's first cabinet, many analysts are considering that statement as a tacit endorsement of Luthorian nationalist ideals, which called for the "reclamation" of the Holy Land. Whether these calls are going to be heard is another question to these said analysts.
The Luthorian Government's aid package to Xsampa is expected to reach the floor in 3 months, the time for the necessary parliamentary procedure to take place.
