BOISSANDE VOICES CONTROVERSIAL OPINIONS IN AN INTERVIEW

In recent interview Léonard Boissonade, leader of the Parti de l'indépendance nationale (Luth.: National Independence Party), has voiced several controversial opinions regarding the Rildanorian Civil War (5291-5301) and the Rildanor-Beiteynu Hostage Crisis (5291-5293).

Historical context:
The Rildanorian Civil War was civil conflict between the Republic of Rildanor, National State of Rildanor, and New Commune of Rildanor, raging from 5291 to 5301.

Rildanor-Beiteynu Hostage Crisis was diplomatic standoff between Republic of Rildanor and Beiteynu, caused by Republic's decision to ban all Yeudis from leaving the country and to investigate them for sabotaging the war effort. 

When asked about his opinion on the Nationalist faction of the Rildanorian Civil War, Boissonade has stated:

The National State was the best chance for the country, the weak centrist government has been preparing to sell us out to the syndicalists and the utopianist menace in Trigunia.

He has also stated his opinions on the Rildanor-Beiteynu Hostage Crisis saying:

While Édouard Duvegner was of course a centrist rat, I must say I respect his willingness to do what was right, especially in regards to the Yeudis and their machinations. It is truly unfortunate he has decided to stand behind his spineless republicanism and didn't join forces with the Nationalists.

While it is not obvious what is the public opinion such statements, plenty of people have voiced their support for Boissonade's statements, claiming it's time to rehabilite the National State of Rildanor, and over all reconsider attitude of the Rildanorian society to the Civil War and Hostage Crisis.
