Communist high-ranking officials Luigi Rizzo e Ettore Ferrero killed in attacks
They are the most illustrious victims fallen at the hands of the resistance whose actions are becoming more and more incisive all over the country

This morning, the editorial office of the main state newspaper in Alaria received the claim of responsibility from the resistance forces for the attacks that yesterday and at the beginning of the week led to the death of Luigi Rizzo and Ettore Ferrero, senior leaders of the Communist Party who respectively held the positions of Vice-President of the Commission for State Security (the highest operative official of the communist security apparatus involved in the repression of the resistance) and President of the Communist Party Section of Cisavugli, as well as one of the most influential members of the entire Party.
Luigi Rizzo was the victim of an ambush just steps from his home in Pontelasa: the car which was driving him to the Party headquarters for a meeting with the state leaders was devastated by the explosion of two vehicles packed with explosives parked on the sides of Via del Rondone, near the intersection where it joins Viale della Stella Rossa, where vehicles are forced to stop to enter the largest artery.
Ettore Ferrero, on the other hand, was killed by several bursts of machine gun fire fired by members of the resistance who had infiltrated the participants of a rally held in Bërgoj organized by the local branch of the Party. The shootout between the resistance and the security forces on site caused the death of three members of the resistance commando, two police officers and a participant in the rally, as well as wounding several other police officers and participants, whose number is currently unknown.
The two hierarchs were among the figures who had recently attracted the most hatred from the resistance given their role, respectively, in the repression of patriotic forces and in pro-party rhetoric, influential members within the politburo and among the most orthodox ones.
Their fall, which occurred in the northern part of Alaria, became the center of power of the communist regime, has demonstrated how the resistance is progressively bringing the war to the Party's home, as well as the increasingly weak hold of the security forces, intelligence and in general of the party on the island of Alaria, whose southern part, the region of Nicoma, has been in turmoil for months due to increasingly massive anti-government demonstrations. The number of defections among the ranks of the army and the security forces of the regime have also multiplied in recent years and from the secret location where she is hidden, Floria Monaldi now does nothing but declaim with ever greater emphasis the decline and the imminent fall of the regime.
In the meantime, in the Peninsula, where Monaldi is thought to be hiding, the control of the territory by the occupation forces and the puppet governments installed there is becoming increasingly weak, with areas scattered like leopard spots now under the control of the patriotic forces that for two years now have increasingly intensified their resistance activity, although civilian victims are also increasing and the main infrastructures are also paying the price. Among other things, one of the major causes of concern for about six months now has been the seizure by the resistance forces of the Borgo San Remigio Nuclear Power Plant (Province of Castiell 'e Sciorenza, in the far south of the Ferano Region, just one kilometer from the border with the Fidelia Region), which although decommissioned, still has a large part of the fissile nuclear material in the warehouses, which remained there in storage awaiting transfer to a permanent storage site that however has never happened in the last 35 years.
The war for the freedom of Istalia is therefore becoming increasingly bloody while from Pontelasa Alice Bragadin, the lawyer of Mattia Appiano-Solari who replaced the well-known Kalid Camilleri, who has been missing for about a year now and is suspected to have been taken into custody by the regime's intelligence forces, reports that the health conditions of the 55-year-old co-leader of the Patriotic Front are worsening following a severe bronchitis that developed into pneumonia during this particularly cold winter. Despite the limits imposed by the regime on the lawyer in releasing further details, it seems that the worsening of Appiano-Solari's conditions are due to the deliberate worsening of the conditions of confinement imposed by the Communist Party leaders who are reacting in the worst possible way to the progressive weakening of their grip on the country.
The fear for the fate of Mattia Appian-Solari, now seen with reverential respect as a stoic figure of resistance if not a martyr for the Istalian cause, is generating increasingly intimidating and angry proclamations against the regime by the leaders of the resistance, now coinciding with those of the Patriotic Front, which has successfully managed to unite all the political and paramilitary groups dedicated to the liberation of Istalia, and which now see among their ranks more and more military personnel and former members of the Istalian Armed Forces, among whom, the most well-known, a former Chief of the Defense Staff, the former Army Corps General Maria Cristina Giobberti, an extremely painful defection for the Party, and the former Air Brigade General Nicolò Faricelli, one of the commanders of the ill-fated expedition in Pontesi and who had resigned well before the end of the conflict due to his extremely critical position regarding the conduct of the conflict by Nevio Rossi.
The "Voice of Free Istalia", the name assumed by the ufficialized press organization of the Patriotic Front, can only express all its support for our brave fighters and want to reiteraite once again the appeal to the communist leaders of the regime to freed Istalia of their poisonous grip or to meet their unavoidable defeat and predictable fate.
