Quote:Good afternoon my fellow delegates, I am today representing the United Republic of Likatonia. I have a proposition to make this is about reforming the commonwealth and how it is structured. The Likatonian proposal is to revert back to basics, it is clear that the commonwealth has veered too far off course, we propose giving a more powerful voice and diverting more funds to it's less wealthy members for our development. We also propose that this body makes its decisions by consensus this will help us to come to agreements and facilitate dialogue. The fundamental principles of the commonwealth charter is that signatory nations should attempt to resolve disputes through diplomacy and friendship it is clear to us that this has not been the case so far, the president has been clear the commonwealth must reform to survive. An organization that is slowly becoming irrelevant in the modern day and age, we must ask ourselves what is it that we want the commonwealth to be, what is it's purpose. Our plan will help to keep the dream of the commonwealth alive. We hope that this proposal is accepted. I yield the floor.
