Prime Minister Jaanus Jogi and his Dolgavanas Piena Partija (DPP), (Dolgavan Dairy Party) have now won three elections straight, with a commanding win tonight. He announced victory, in Aikums surrounded by members of the party as they also celebrated the decisive victory. The results come to us from the Dolgavan Elections Bureau. The results are as follows

• DPP: 66.2% - 125 seats
  
• DKP: 26.4% -  50 seats
  
• SDP: 5.9% - 11 seats
  
• Others/Independents: 1.5% - 3 seats
  

The DPP bumped up their vote share to 66.2% making this their highest vote share out of all of their three elections in which they have stood. Due to several factors, though they lost seats, specifically in urban and suburban centers, where the Conservatives and the Social Democrats poached seats from them. Regardless, the vote total was not even close, with 77.9% of the Dolgavan populous coming out to vote.



The election results were not always certain, as Jaanus has had increasing opposition not only from the old guard in the Conservatives, under the current opposition leader Sophia Hohenlohe. Hohenlohe has been an extreme hardliner against Trigunia, saying that they now pose a threat to peace and stability, throughout the entire region. The growing concerns toward national security, have overshadowed the ongoing domestic reforms being put in place by the Jogi government, something that has been surely an annoyance to him. The Conservatives were able to take back a few seats, raising their total to 50, which puts them in still an extremely undesirable state of affairs, but in a slightly stronger position nationally. 

However Jogi and his clear stance against the ongoing chaos in Trigunia, as well as his diplomatic negotiations with Egelion, Dorvik and Kalistan, have brought a broad wave of support continued in the DPP, with them now holding on to a powerful majority on Dolgava's parliament.

The second opposition voice comes from the reemergence of the Dolgavas Sociāldemokrātiskā Partija (Dolgavan Social Democratic Party) or the SDP. The SDP is led by a relatively unknown labor activist in Noversk, Helgi Ruutli. She ran for Mayor of Noversk, this election cycle, and is seen as the the leader of the scattered political movement. The party at first polled well inside of urban centers, with them projected to be down only 5 points in the Aikums Mayoral Race for instance, however this honeymoon bump soon wore off, and their numbers, (hampered by very limited funding and campaigning), came out to be a minuscule 5.9%.

To make matters worse, Helgi Ruutli, lost in a landslide defeat in the Noversk Mayoral race, with the DPP's candidate  Medards Vītols winning close to 60% of the vote there. As for Aikums, the DPP, finally broke the up until now, last conservative stronghold, with  Leopold Schwertfeger the DPP candidate winning 63% of the vote there.

Jogi addressed the press from the shoulders of his fellow party members, as they hoisted him in the air in celebration saying 

We are bringing back prosperity and success for Dolgava, the national community sees us favorably again, and the Dolgavan people are happy! We have another mandate, and we will keep doing what we've been doing!

We conducted an opinion polls on what issues matter to Dolgavans, these truly show the current state of affairs in Dolgava, and show us exactly why the DPP, remains a political titan in Dolgava, we conducted this poll on election day with 1,000 Dolgavans participating the results are as follows. They were asked "What current political issue, most matters to you". We further sorted these out by those who voted for each party in our poll. The results are as follows:

National Security and Military Strength – 42%

Breakdown:

    DPP Voters: 48% 
    DKP Voters: 50%
    SDPD Voters: 10%
 
Agricultural Support and Economic Stability – 28% 

    Breakdown:
        DPP Voters: 35%
        DKP Voters: 20% 
        SDPD Voters: 15%
Traditionalist Dolgavan Values – 15% 

    Breakdown:
        DPP Voters: 12%
        DKP Voters: 25% 
        SDPD Voters: 5%

Jobs and Urban Development – 8% 

    Breakdown:
        DPP Voters: 3%
        DKP Voters: 2% 
        SDPD Voters: 45% 

Other (Education, Healthcare, etc.) – 5% 

    Breakdown:
        DPP Voters: 2% 
        DKP Voters: 3% 
        SDPD Voters: 20% 

Opposition to Militarization – 2% 

    Breakdown:
        DPP Voters: 0% 
        DKP Voters: 0% 
        SDPD Voters: 15%

Currently among both Dairy Party, and Conservative voters, the biggest issues remain national security and economic development. Something that the Jogi Government has been clearly prioritizing and has made some of his most central campaign platforms. For the Conservatives, it will be hard to stop the continued momentum, however if things start to sour on the foreign policy front, or if chaos further escalates in Trigunia, it could create a sticking issue that could hurt Jogi, and his government moving forward. As for now, the Dairy Party has swept Dolgava leaving the Conservatives and the Social Democrats to figure out where to go from here.
