Dorvish trade and Egelion government officials meet in Egelion.
Dorvish Trade Commissioner Evelyn Sauer announced today that she would be conducting a trade visit to Egelion, Dolgava and would be making a stop in Xsampa to oversee trade relations with the three nations. Sauer, appointed to her role in November, 5620 has spent her first few months in office reviewing a number of trade agreements and overseeing the transition to a new Dorvish Trade Commission, which has largely remained the same for approximately 30 years according to sources close to the Dorvish Trade Commission's Public Information Office.
The visit to Dolgava and Egelion will see Mrs. Sauer joined by Dorvish Trade Commissioner for Makon and Keris Frederico Strauss, a Egelionese-Dorvish citizen who has been instrumental in deepening ties between Egelion and Dorvik, including pushing the Dorvish government towards the cultural exchange between Egelion and Dorvik, will meet with Commissioner Sauer in Egelion and then will take a trip to Aikums, Dolgava to discuss deepening trade ties. Dorvish trade with Egelion has increased steadily since the meeting between Haldor and the new government in Egelion, a first for Dorvish-Egelionese relations. The Dorvish, in somewhat typical fashion, have worked to open branches of several Dorvish financial institutions such as Artanian Bank, the Dorvish Development Bank, the Majatran-Dorvish Bank and the State Commercial Bank. While the Dorvish have focused heavily on financial connections to Egelion, corporations such as Bredemegen Motor Works (Dundorfian: Bredemegenische Motoren Werke AG) have expanded their operations to the nation, BMW has opened a new production plant just outside the capital of Egelion where they will be producing vehicles. Voit-Wagenseil AG has likewise opened a new production plant in Egelion to facilitate the production of vehicles. The Dorvish will also seek to develop new trade ties for precision instruments, such as clocks, optics and other industrial precision equipment. The Dorvish steel industry is also eager to introduce itself further into the growing construction sector of Egelion, a nation that is rapidly expanding.
While Egelion-Dorvish trade has been a hot topic, the re-opening of markets in Dolgava and the resurgence of stability in Egelion has dealt the Dorvish a chance to secure trade ties with two nations on a continent that is nominally weak on trading. Following the three day trip to Egelion, Commissioner Sauer and Commissioner Strauss will make their way to Aikums to meet with the Dolgavan government to discuss facilitating trade. Those same corporations who have joined the Dorvish Trade Commissioners in Egelion will certainly want to redevelop and revise their strategy in Egelion, but another notable presence will be the agricultural equipment manufacturer Kaiserfeld Maschinenbau AG, founded in 1872 who will seek to capture the growing agricultural market that Dolgava has focused on. The Dorvish will look to Dolgava for increased agricultural imports, notably due to Dorvik's recent harsh winters. Similar to Egelion, the Dorvish financial sector will make a strong appearance in Dolgava, seeking to capitalize on a variety of banking opportunities, notably in the field of extending credit and mortgages. In both Egelion and Dolgava, the Dorvish "hard infrastructure" corporations, will continue to be present looking to construct railways, roadways, bridges, and a variety of infrastructure.
