420, the Stoner Rock Quintet from Neveras adds diversity to the Upstart LCR

420, longtime local favorites among snowboarders in Neveras' Mountains and perennial tourers, announced to their small but rabid fanbase that they had recently been signed to LCR records, and would finally be releasing their first LP "Boombox" in the spring.

"We've been touring this district, in a beat up van for about 4 years now," said lead singer and guitarist Nicholas Ross. "We've been everywhere in Neveras and Suldanor, and you know a few places here and there in Vrassa and Odufaray but like, our sound is mainly for partiers and stoned kids who spend their lives looking for great snow and great surf. With this record, we'll be all over the Republic, teaching them about our blend of cool vibes and hard thrash to carve up a wave or face to." Fellow lead singer and MC Guillermo Rodriguez agreed. "Its all about keepin blazed, chillin out and moshing with this band. If we aren't getting you hype, we ain't doing our job!"

LCR has had a number of minor hits since their inception nearly 2 years ago. Label Founder's The Progeny scored a Top 100 record with their debut "Firestarter" and Suldanor Hardcore punk quartet The Youth Crew hit a gold record for sales over 100,000 of their S/T release, the highest selling HxC record in Kalistani history. With the addition of 420 to the label, LCR makes a more determined move for the mainstream of Kalistani Music.

"I think, like, if you were to describe our music," said the band's self described "slapaddict" bassist Doggo, "It's like if you smoked a mountain of herb with your bros, and then like drank a beer, and went surfing. It's nice to hop into the van cruise down the hill, as we say, and play a rockin show and then instead of going back to the hotel with a bunch of groupies, and smashing a hole in the wall with a TV, you like go surfing and all these people are out there catching wave, and it rules. I love Sulari!" That incomprehensible statement seems to oddly enough describe the band's funk/rock/rap/reggae fusion sound, fueled rather explicitly by the band's copious, even by Kalistani standards, consumption of National Product. "We don't play or surf sober," said Doggo.
