The Grand Prince of the Crown Alessandro addressing the press
December 5625ROMULA – His Majesty the Emperor suffered a stroke yesterday evening shortly after dinner and was rushed to the Polyclinic Deodato II, and although doctors were able to stabilize his condition, the prognosis remains reserved.
Since his accession to the throne, His Majesty's health conditions were already precarious due to the long years of imprisonment under the communist regime and over the last few years he has been increasingly subject to various pathologies that have further undermined his health.
While Prince Alessandro was in Altéa for the Conference organized by the Government of Egelion, the Emperor already had suffered some tachycardia and severe fatigue, so much so that it was envisaged to have the heir to the Throne return at home.
The Household of the Imperial Crown, the agency in charge of state matters concerning the Imperial Family restored alongside the monarchy, announced this morning that the Act of Regency in favor of the heir of the Throne signed by the Grand Prince of the Crown himself, the Empress and the Grand Chamberlain has already been transmitted to the National Congress as provided for by the Constitution.
Prince Alessandro has already signed his first acts as Regent of the Empire, the decrees designed by the Government and approved last week respectively by the Parliamentary Commission for Public Finance and by the plenary session of Congress: these are the issuance of "Reconstruction Bonds" to continue financing the programs of the National Reconstruction Plan, and the creation of two Judicial Investigation Commissions that will investigate the responsibilities and crimes committed by the leaders of the communist regime, and the responsibilities and betrayal of leaders and collaborators of the Great Emirate of Quanzar.
Since the end of the Patriotic War of Liberation, citizens' associations as well as members of both the majority and the opposition have pressured the government to initiate rigorous investigations to determine the responsibilities of the various parties involved as well as to proceed with a process of national pacification.
As for the leaders of the communist regime, the pressure was put on them by relatives of the leaders taken in custody and former members of the RS Armed Forces who were reintegrated into the Imperial Armed Forces, aimed at solving the integration problems and putting an end to the rumours that were circulating within the Armed Forces regarding the former RS fighters.
As for the investigation into the leaders and collaborators of Quanzar, the requests for such action initially came from the families and politicians of the north of the Peninsula who are asking for justice for the victims who fell at the hands of the Emirate, but over time the will and the need to proceed with a pacification with the population of Majatran origin has also grown, who since the end of the conflict have suffered a general marginalization within the Istalian society while the acts of intolerance and xenophobia have increased. The betrayal of those who collaborated with the enemy and supported the imposed regime by prostrating themselves at the feet of the self-proclaimed foreigner Great Emir has deeply marked the collective conscience of the country, which has seen the re-emergence of the spectre of Ahmadi domination and the resumption from the oblivion of the history of the much hated name of Quanzar, symbol of foreign domination, of eradication of the Istalian identity and culture and of division and destruction of the Istalian state.
However, Prince Alessandro, with his first official speech as Regent of the Empire, held in front of the press after the signing of the government decrees, wanted to convey a message of pacification and renormalization of relations with the largest ethnic minority in the country, although he did not spare harsh words for those responsible of the traison and that collaborated with the enemy.
Quote:Citizens of the Empire,
Today I address you for the first time as Regent of the Empire and acting Head of State at a crucial moment in our history. This morning I signed the government decrees for the establishment of the Judicial Investigation Commissions to inquire on the responsibilities and crimes of both the Social Republic and the Quanzar's leaders and collaborators.
Both the Commission will have the task to investigate the responsibilities and the war crimes and crimes of traison committed by the leader and collaborators of both the regime, but today I will dwell in particular, on the case of the Grand Emirate of Quanzar.
Our nation has been betrayed by so many, too many of our fellow citizens and also by many of those who should have protected it. They have turned their backs on their fellow citizens, they have witnessed and, worse still, sanctioned the use of terrorist tactics and brutality against the defenseless population. They have imposed the tyranny of the minority, they were building a regime of apartheid against those who until yesterday were friends, neighbors, co-workers. This betrayal was particularly heinous if we consider that Istalia has always recognized and protected since immemorial time the Majatran minority, a fundamental element that has enriched our culture and our identity, promoting integration and mutual respect, values trampled by these traitors for their own selfish gains who opted to side with the enemy attempting to destroy our Identity and unity and smearing our history.
I want to assure the families and loved ones of all those who have fallen under the blows of terrorism, repression and barbarism that those responsible will answer for their actions before justice.
This dark period in the relations between the most important ethnic components of our society must remain an isolated episode. Our mission now is to return to the total normalization of relations between all citizens of Istalia. To do so, we must forcefully reaffirm the values of integration, tolerance and pluralism, values that are intrinsically part of the Istalian Identity and culture. Only through these principles can we fight radicalization, hatred and violence. We cannot allow the poison of division and sectarianism to poison our future again.
I cannot help but remember the many Istalians of Majatran origin who, under previous regimes, reached the highest levels of the State, contributing with their skills and commitment to the progress of the nation. You will forgive me if reading this list takes time, but it is with pride that I report the names of those great Istalian statesmen and women, to refute with data in hand the false and malicious accusations made against us in recent years by those who seek to throw mud on our nation and our people.
The Presidents of the Republic of Majatran origin were: Rizwan Khan, Ali Abdul Aham, Naazim el-Arafat, Najeer el-Saladin, Rania Samara, Aghar Yassen, Hadan Al-Maktum, Sebastiano Al-Khaid.
The Prime Ministers of the Republic of Majatran origin were instead: Rizwan Khan, Fatima Saliq, Fatima el-Nouri, Aisha Menchi, Saul Cartucci, Rania Samara, Sahla Sabbagh.
Under the First Empire, the Prime Ministers Secretaries of Imperial State of Majatran origin were: Faisal Saeed, Rania Mossadeq, Bashar Harari, Ghassan Daabas, Alice Diallo.
How can we forget then Ahmed Sarjani, who led the forces loyal to a united and sovereign Istalia in the foundation of the Second Empire, opposing the separatist aims of the failed Union of Quanzar and Alaria? How can we not remember Rania Hossain, the last President of the Istalian Union of Quanzar and Alaria, the last weak attempt by the separatists to disintegrate the country and who peacefully led the country towards the restoration of the Third Empire, under which we have seen once again many statesmen of Majatran origin reach the top of the institutions, such as Prime Minister Omar Sodano. And how many more should I mention only based on the numerous Istalian surnames of Majatran origin?
Our recent and less recent history testifies that peaceful coexistence and prosperous integration have been the norm, not the exception. This must be the goal towards which we must all strive.
When speaking of terrorism and religious radicalization, we cannot ignore the nefarious role that these elements have played in betraying our homeland and collaborating with the enemy. These nations and extremist groups such as the Ahmadi State have acted out of envy and revenge towards our nation. Our model of society, which has granted the Majatrans freedom, opportunities and an existence that only in a few other nations they have enjoyed, such as Cildania for example, unbound by the archaic and oppressive social norms still influenced by oppressive and intolerant religious models, has always been a beacon of hope for those who believe in progress. Here, our fellow citizens of Majatran origin have been able to develop a freer, more inclusive and harmonious approach to their religion with democratic principles. Here they found unprecedented social integration, a far cry from the tribal fragmentation and sectarian disputes that still plague so many other nations and that the powers of those nations exploit for their own gain, heinous for this very reason.
Those who conspired to destroy our culture and our way of life have never been able to accept the fact that Istalia is different from its neighbors, that it has always been an island of progress and tolerance in a sea of backwardness, totalitarianism and barbarism. We are a nation that has always looked to the future, that has always placed freedom, democracy and mutual respect at the center of its identity. We have achieved goals that others can only dream of, and we will continue to do so.
Now, with this spirit, we must heal the wounds that are still open. We must rediscover our unity, rally around the values that have made us great, and walk together again united and proudly Istalian towards a future of harmony, progress and prosperity. We will never again allow our people to be divided by hatred and fanaticism.
Thank you
