TITLE IV CIVIL RIGHTS AND LIBERTIES
Section 1- Civil Rights
IV.1.a The way adulthood is determined- Adulthood is determined by age.
IV.1.b The age at which a person is considered an adult- 18
IV.1.c Racial and religious registration of nationals- The government does not require nationals to register their race or religion.
IV.1.d Racial segregation of public amenities (eg. drinking fountains, public toilets) - Segregation of any public amenity is banned.
IV.1.e The government's policy concerning phone services- Telephone lines are provided free of charge to all citizens.
IV.1.f Voting rights of criminals- Criminals are always allowed to vote, regardless of whether they are in jail or not.
IV.1.g The citizens' right to assemble in public- There are no restrictions on the right of citizens to assemble in groups.
IV.1.h Curfew policy (curfew time to be determined in the bill description)- Local governments may set curfews, but national government does not.
IV.1.i National service- All adults are required to serve a four year term of National Service, either with the Kalistani Regular Forces, or with the civilian National Service Program, at their option, to be completed before their 26th Birthday. Both services will be compensated at the same rate.
Section 2- Civil Liberties
IV.2.a The right to gamble- Gambling is legal across the nation, no regulation whatsoever.
IV.2.b Freedom of information law- Classified files are released after a set period of time.
IV.2.c The legality of dueling- Dueling is illegal.
IV.2.d Ownership of guns by private individuals- Adult individuals are allowed to own and purchase guns freely.
IV.2.e Weapon concealment- Some categories of weapon must be carried openly, others may be concealed.
IV.2.f Right to privacy- Individuals have a right to privacy, to keep records and information for themselves.
IV.2.g The confidentiality of letters and correspondence- The confidentiality of letters is inviolable.
IV.2.h Libel laws- Individuals may sue over falsehoods printed on them.
IV.2.i Weapons allowed to private citizens- Citizens may own any type of weapon. They may be carried anywhere except as determined by the property owner.
IV.2.j Women's working rights- Women are entitled the same working rights as men.
IV.2.k The legality of slavery- Slavery and the slave trade are illegal.
