TITLE XI CULTURE AND RELIGION

Section 1-  Culture
XI.1.a  Art subsidies-  The government subsidizes artistic institutions such as art schools and galleries, but does not subsidize individual artists.

XI.1.b  Protection of original works of technology and arts-  Technology and art are part of the commons and are not protected by copyright.

XI.1.c  National, cultural and historic sites and monuments-  The state actively protects scenery, localities, cultural, and historical sites; it maintains an agency to preserve them untouched if public interest so requires.

XI.1.d  The government's policy towards the funding of libraries-  The national government controls a vast and comprehensive system of public libraries.

XI.1.e  The government's policy concerning museum funding-  The national government maintains a system of museums nationwide.



Section 2-  Religion
XI.2.a  State penalties for blasphemy-  No state penalties are issued for blasphemy.

XI.2.b  Government policy concerning the visitation of foreign missionaries-  The government has no policy concerning the visitation of foreign missionaries.

XI.2.c  The state's intervention in the appointment of ministers of religion-  The state does not intervene in the appointment of ministers of any religion whatsoever.

XI.2.d  Policy on the endorsement of candidates and parties by religions and religious figures-  Religious figures and religions are not allowed to publicly endorse candidates, political parties and policies.

XI.2.e  Government policy towards evangelism and religious advertising-  Religious organizations are not permitted to actively promote themselves or advertise, however evangelism is permitted by individuals.

XI.2.f  Taxation of religious institutions-  All religious income, despite the use, is taxed.

XI.2.g  The state's policy concerning religious clothing-  Public officials are not allowed to wear religious symbols while exercising their duties.

XI.2.h  The governments stance on religious schools-  Any religion may set up a school, but they are strictly regulated.

XI.2.i  Remuneration of ministers of religion-  The state does not intervene in the remuneration of ministers of religion.

XI.2.j  The government's policy with respect to prayer in schools-  Teacher-led prayers in schools are forbidden, except in religious schools.

XI.2.k  Government policy concerning religions-  There is no government policy concerning a state religion.
