Istalia condemns the trilateral agreement of Davostag

The dismay for this rapprochement with inhuman totalitarian regimes pushes the government to adopt a "black list" while a visit of President Nero from Etxea's Kundrati is expected soon

ROMULA - The new Istalian government, led once again by Floria Monaldi at the head of the FPI-HDU coalition, has expressed strong concern in the face of the imminent trilateral agreement between Davostag, Legionar Kundrati and Rutania. The news of the signing of the first agreement with Kundrati and the announcement of the imminent inclusion of Rutania has raised alarm at Antinori Palace, where people look with dismay at Davostag's choice to establish relations with two openly fascist and totalitarian regimes.

The new Minister of the Foreign Affairs Anita Pierrini (FP), declared meeting the press that:

It is truly disturbing that any nation decides to form alliances with governments that are based on repression, the denial of fundamental rights and even the systematic use of forced labor in prison camps. This choice will only make Davostag complicit in such inhuman practices, and all this behind the cover of protecting its economic interests and its citizens in those countries

The news of this agreement has prompted the Government to announce that among the first acts of the new executive there will be the creation of a "black list", officially called "Register of nations at high geopolitical and fiscal risk", which will classify nations into different categories, for which specific diplomatic, commercial and economic guidelines will be defined.
The objective is clear: to prevent Istalia from maintaining relations with states that violate human rights, that represent a threat to the international democratic order and that are possible tax havens.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed furthermore:

Our diplomatic and economic relations must be aligned with the fundamental principles of freedom and human dignity. We cannot remain inert while certain governments trample on the rights of their citizens. It is necessary to act firmly to protect democratic values and to protect our own economic system from dangerous contamination by illiberal regimes.

Sources close to the government reveal that, in addition to the blacklist, the introduction of restrictive measures against companies and individuals from nations identified as dangerous for democracy and human rights is being considered. Possible economic sanctions and restrictions on trade relations with Rutania and Legionar Kundrati are already being studied.

The executive hopes that the attitude of the Istalian government will generate a heated debate at an international level. While the opposition has already declared that they will demand maximum transparency on the measures that will be adopted, with some fringes saying that such measures could even damage the helpless population, within the majority some voices have expressed concern that the creation of such a list could be an obstacle to the growth of the country and the creation of new relations of Istalia at the international level.
The Government, in response, declared that negotiations with several nations considered as valuable partners are already underway if not practically concluded, but above all the Government expressed the firm belief that it is necessary to draw a clear line of demarcation between inhuman and authoritarian regimes and the rest of the world.

To further underline the country's desire to stand on the side of democracy and the rule of law, Istalia is organizing with the government of the Union of Kundrati, the democratic government of the country in control of the island of Etxea, a visit of President Tiberius Claudius Nero to Istalia. This meeting will serve to reaffirm the country's closeness to the democratic government of Kundrati, officially recognized as the only legitimate one by Romula.

The future of Istalia's international relations is therefore expected to be marked by a renewed attention to the ethical and political principles that will guide national diplomacy. It now remains to see how this situation will evolve and what consequences this controversial alliance will have for the global geopolitical balance.
