Formation of the Pan-Artanian Progressive Party; Another party to the left.

Etxean politics have found themselves long dominated by the Kundrati People's Party. Whether it was due to underperformance from the right and left or simply the KPP being institutionalized, no party has actually managed to win a majority, let alone the presidency. And it seems another party is looking to make things more challenging for the Etxean Left. The Rejuvenation for the Homeland has long been the dominant left wing party, but this does not mean that the Etxean Left is actually one coherent bloc. And the formation of the Pan-Artanian Progressive Party has only enhanced this idea.
The APPA has found itself to be a unique anomaly within the Etxean Left. Unabashedly progressive, supporting social democratic ideals and yet also incredibly hawkish, especially in regards to the mainland. Adhering to so called, "Neo-Progressivism", the APPA likely can find appeal to voters who value social progress and also appeal to voters who want security. In any case, their formation is another splinter in the left and it's yet to be seen if they'll worsen the situation for the Etxean Left in toppling the juggernaut that is the KPP or, miraculously, find success.
While so far, no candidate has appeared for the next elections, the APPA certainly has appeal. Combining a hawkish anti-fascist (and a general anti-extremist) stance with Pan-Artanianism, and social democratic values, the APPA certainly can have the appeal for voters in the next election. Whether it'll be enough to overcome an already splintered Left and overcoming the KPP is yet to be seen. But until campaign season begins, it's likely that the APPA will focus on simply securing its position in the ballot and convincing Etxeans to vote for them.
