An interview with Vicky Chen, the elegant and elusive executive challenging Dalibor's male-dominated economic elite with her female-forward brothel network



DALIBOR CITY, DALIBOR – Vicky Chen doesn’t flinch when people call her a madam. She adjusts the diamonds at her wrist, smiles faintly, and says, “That’s just another word for a CEO in heels.”

At just 38, Chen has quietly risen to the top of Dalibor City's nightlife economy without a shot fired... or so she claims. Chen runs the Velvet Club International (DCSE:VCI), a high-end “female-forward lifestyle consortium” that runs nightclubs, bars, and brothels (though Chen objects to that term), offering ultra-exclusive companionship and “private intimacy logistics” to the global elite. 

Deeper in Dalibor met with Vicky Chen at an undisclosed private rooftop lounge above one of her many high-end pleasure dens in Dalibor City where non-disclosure is typically built into the booking, though an exception has been made for this intrepid reporter. 

“Labels don’t bother me. Call me what you want: madam, boss, menace. At the end of the day, I create opportunities. Most of my girls came from nothing. Now they’ve got luxury apartments, dental work, and big juicy breast implants. Who else is giving that in this economy?”

Chen's business career began with a single members-only club in Dalibor's famed red-light district, primarily tailored to the desires of visiting financiers and diplomats. Today, VCI operates locations in at least six countries, serving a tight-lipped clientele of business magnates, crypto whales, and the occasional monarch. Chen's conglomerate also oversees a growing blockchain-backed membership club, one of the world's largest webcam modelling agencies, and rumours of a private island retreat. Chen is also rumoured to personally own an entire neighbourhood block in Udon Nakhon, although this information could not be verified, and according to Chen, asking around is strongly discouraged: "women don’t owe the world our blueprints."

Practicing self-care is essential to Chen, who relays its importance to other lady entrepreneurs. She sleeps five hours a day, drinks martinis medicinally, and swears by a monthly aura recalibration. What she does in her time off is "none of your business," though she swears it is productive for "You see, I protect my peace like I protect my girls: relentlessly." 

Chen describes herself as a “third-generation disruptor.” Her maternal grandmother ran gambling dens out of noodle shops in Kaizhou, Yingdala. Her great aunt, she says proudly, “ran logistics for revolutionaries and smugglers. Most often, both.” But the figure she most reveres is Kwan Huiyin, the one-time Dalibor City mayoral candidate and infamous matriarch of the White Tiger Triad during the 44th century. Kwan was one of very few women in Dalibor’s history to lead a criminal syndicate without being... deposed. Like Kwan, Chen believes in the importance of giving back, donating large sums of her immense personal wealth to run free homes and schools for abandoned and orphaned children across Dalibor City.

"Some may say I am simply budgeting in an unfortunate externality of my business," Chen says after a sip of champagne and a flick of her cigarette. "But I see it differently. No one is looking out for these urchins. This inevitably leads them into mischief and, in the worst cases, joining up with Outlander gangs. I try to intervene and show them a different path, or better yet, export them to a foreign family that cannot have children of their own."

Chen's benevolence does not extend only to the bastards and street children of our city, but to the cultural scene in Dalibor City. Chen has made significant donations to the Dalibor City Museum, as well as the Daliboran Arts Council and Dalibor City Harbour Opera House. "I love our island," says Chen. "Where else could a woman, coming from my background, achieve what I've achieved?"

Her critics – of which there are some, especially in (foreign) feminist circles – argue that she has simply gentrified prostitution, with all the exploitation that trade is said to entail. Chen disagrees: “I empower women to leverage their assets,” she says, smoothing her dress. “Some of those assets happen to be extremely popular among men with means.” Her employees, most of whom are women between 18 and 28, describe her as strict but loyal, and all are deeply loyal to her in return. For Vicky Chen, there’s no shame, no discomfort, and no attempt to reframe her work as charity or activism, despite her generosity and philanthropy. “I’m not saving anyone,” she says. “I’m offering options. That’s the most radical thing you can do for a woman in a transactional world.”
