Beknial, Hutori — In her first act as Prime Minister, Rosalyn Woodbury has unveiled a bold and meticulously selected Cabinet, promising “decisive leadership, compassionate governance, and an unflinching commitment to the Hutorian people.” The new Cabinet was sworn in at Newport Castle this morning, in a crisp and tightly choreographed ceremony overseen by King Charles III and attended by senior public officials, and newly elected Members of Parliament.
With 174 seats behind her and a clear governing mandate, Woodbury wasted no time making clear that her Cabinet would reflect both experience and fresh perspective. A blend of Conservative stalwarts, rising stars, and regional voices form what insiders are already calling “a war room in government.”

A Diverse and Strategic Team
In total, the Cabinet includes 26 ministers, with 13 women and 6 visible minorities, the most diverse Cabinet in Conservative history. The Prime Minister emphasized her desire to break with “old power circles” while still valuing institutional memory.
“This Cabinet was chosen with purpose,” Woodbury said from the steps of 24 Orange Avenue. “Every one of them understands the responsibility before us. Every one of them is ready to serve.” She added: “We will speak clearly, govern boldly, and remember always who we work for—the people of this country.”
A Shift in Tone and Style
Gone are the long, meandering announcements and careful hedging of the previous administration. In its place: clear messaging, fast decision-making, and a sharp eye for optics. Woodbury’s first 48 hours in office have included meetings with provincial premiers, a security briefing, and a walkabout at a local Bekenial grocery store to speak with customers about rising costs.
Senior aides describe a leader who is “on a mission”—focused, calm, but determined to immediately show the electorate that their faith was not misplaced.
She also announced that a state visit to Kalistan was amongst her first priorities to follow through on a long awaited collaboration between the Imperial Navy in Kalistan and the Royal Hutorian Navy on a "next generation Frigate."

The first sitting of the new Parliament is expected within two weeks, with the Speech from the Throne currently being drafted in consultation with senior policy advisors and the Privy Council Office.
