President Dindairu has given an emergency announcement to the nation in the wake of the Legion enacting daily missile attacks. Emergency Preparation Measures have been announced, with a strict focus on safety preparations. Mandatory trainings on missile attacks, alongside a National Defense Fund which will focus on ensuring every coin produced in the nation is able to go to the EPM. Alongside this, the National Defense Fund will focus particularly on taxing the wealthy to fund defensive means. These defensive means will focus on ensuring casualties are kept to a minimum and damage is limited where possible. It is, ultimately a war of attrition until the Legion runs out of ammo.

Friends. My people. Sons and daughters of Etxea.

This week has been a dark week. We sought to create a free nation here. One where our great workers aren't toiling away for slavers. One where we enjoy democracy and freedom. I won't lie to you folks. The Legion approached us for peace. We thought they could be trusted. Perhaps they would've turned a new leaf. We thought we could ensure peace so our beloved sons and daughters of Etxea never die. The Legion was worse than we thought. Those bastards offered us not peace, but slavery. We offered them a great counter deal. The greatest deal, so great. They rejected it. Unreasonable nasty people, very nasty. They wanted total subjugation. They offered us slavery wrapped in a bow. Folks, we're Etxeans. We don't embrace slavery. We would rather be scarred and free than a slave. I won't lie to you. These times won't be easy ahead. But it isn't hopeless. We will show those savages on the mainland what it means to be free. Those poverty stricken, fascistic barbarians will be brought to their knees. We will make them regret ever waking up in the morning. I ask that every Etxean is ready for these times ahead. I am not asking this as your president but as your fellow Etxean. We are fighting not just for freedom, although we are. We are fighting not just for liberty, although we are. But we are fighting for the liberation of Kundrati from the parasite of fascism. If the Legion dares to deny us our rightful place as a free people, we shall unleash such terrible vengeance upon them that generations yet unborn will cry out in anguish! I vow this much friends. We will overcome. We will be bruised. But we will overcome as a stronger and freer people. The people of Etxea are proud, lovely and hardworking. We will not let the savages on the mainland get their way and enslave us! I am asking for unity in these troubling times. To those who want us to surrender, would you rather we lay down our arms, stark naked before an enemy that wishes only death before us? We will never surrender to fascist barbarians. We will never surrender our freedom. We will never surrender our sovereignty.

President Dindairu has confirmed that daily communications will occur to not only strengthen solidarity, but ensure transparency with the people. While the President has promised vengeance, it remains to be seen if such an avenue is possible. But for all our readers, we urge you to stay safe, and listen to all instructions. We shall overcome.
