The National Agricultural Trade Corporation has Begun Exports to Kundrati

The National Agricultural Trade Corporation has begun exports of Kirlawan agricultural produce to the neighbouring Kundrati Legionary State. The exports began earlier today with the first truck crossing the border at two in the morning, with many others following. The action comes as the first major action of the NATC with goals having been set to reach more nations. The action has generally been met with approval from within the nation, with both the largest conventional corporation, Harvest National, and cooperative, Golden Grain, airing their approvals on the initiative, while the Solidarity Alliance and Green Party have protested the action on moral grounds. Solidarity has claimed that the export of agricultural produce to a supposed “fascist” nation is a moral and ethical failing of NATC and has in turn demanded that all exports be stop as soon as possible. Dr. Réamonn Donovan, the recently appointed Chief Executive of NATC has stated the exports will continue however, and that the additional funds would be used to support the government economic agenda. Minister for Agriculture Cathal Brunty has also responded to the objections by stating "that the export of food is a non-harmful act, and when a nation is a in state of insecure food supply, it instead becomes a moral imperative to export food instead, regardless of the government of the nation being exported to."
