TWO MINISTERS TO BE ELECTED
 
National Assembly, February 21, 5636:  The Monsoon has learned that a change seems to be in the works  in the National Assembly and accordingly asked Assembly Delegate Bashir ibn Ortoq who seemed to be involved what was happening. He responded:
           

As you are aware, the Constitution issued by the former President puts rather severe limits on the functioning of any national government.  Some regional and municipal governments are functioning right well, and some are not while the national government is pretty much moribund.
 
But not necessarily entirely dead. Political parties, a head of state and a head of government are banned, but not government ministries or regulation of corporate activities while police, courts and military are anticipated.
 
But to your question, a working majority group has been formed in the National Assembly to select a Minister of Justice and a Minister of the Interior responsible to the National Assembly.
 
The Ministry of Justice will take charge of national government prosecutors, codify national law for approval by the National Assembly, propose a process for constitutional amendment to the National Assembly and propose a selection process for the national  judiciary to the National Assembly.
 
The Interior Minister will be authorized by the National assembly to take charge of the Central Security Organization (CSO), our national police, the Special Security Forces (SSF) and the Criminal Investigation Division (CID).  Additionally, the People’s Security Bureau is to be renamed the Internal Security Unit (ISU) and assigned to the Minister of the Interior since we have no president.
 
As indicated, we do have a working majority to proceed. I will serve as Justice Minister while Yasser al-Mirza will serve as Interior Minister.
