Niyalma citizen to be imprisoned for 4 years for insulting the Khan
Beine's provincial court found a citizen of Niyalma, Chao Busai, guilty of publicly insulting the king with a poster in the city square and sentenced him to four years in Niyalma's Bodisatu Prison.

In what became one of the harshest and rare occasions of imposing lèse-majesté laws in recent years, a provincial court in Beine has sentenced a local man to four years in prison for publicly insulting the Khan. Chao Busai, 49, a citizen of Beine's provincial capital city, Niyalma, was found guilty of displaying a poster in Niyalma's Ambatalin Square that the court deemed defamatory and derogatory towards the nation's monarch. According to the ruling, Busai's actions constituted "a deliberate and public affront to the dignity of the monarchy", a punishable violation under Bianjian monarchy and national security laws.

Tayiji Piao (SPP), interior minister, following the court ruling, has convened a briefing to talk about the incident. "The law is the law, and we must all obide to it. You may not like it, and that is fine. That is why the legislative bodies, be it provincially or nationally, like Yuan, exist. In Busai's case, it is up to public to debate whether the court ruling is fair, in the end, he is free to appeal to the Supreme Court". When journalists asked Piao whether he would support the reform or complete abolition of the national lèse-majesté law, Piao refused to answer.

The arrest, and later the court ruling, went viral on social media platforms, sparking a nationwide debate with opinions divided between those condemning the actions of Busai and those questioning the severity, and in some cases even the mere existence of lèse-majesté laws in the nation. Sources within the security forces also reported that authorities have tried to order social media platforms to take down some online posts with criticisms of the crown, law enforcement or the laws.
