Breaking: Tories under Lord Windbury secures plurality; Hall loses gambit for third term as Prime Minister.

Fort William - Once again in Luthorian history, the Luthorian people headed up to the polls to choose their next Prime Minister and this year, in 5640, this was no different, the sitting Prime Minister, Olivia Hall was trying to secure another term for the National Labour Party and her Government, while the Conservative Opposition Leader, the Earl of Windbury was trying to acheive a decisive victory for his part, and putting an end to 10 years of Labour Government. 

As the night was young, the Luthorian Broadcasting Corporation and other major media outlets begun their electoral night programming, in the context of a weakened economy, a costly occupation of southern Kundrati and an expansion of the lower house, the Conservative Party had all the chances with them to secure a sizeable and working plurality, putting them at the forefront for forming a new government. The Leader of the Opposition ran a three-points campaign focused around the rising worry of Luthorians about the debt and economic recession, greatly using Labour's weak record on the issue at their advantage, he also ran a campaign for abstentionist voters, who usually do not vote in these elections and finally focused around the costly occupation of Kundrati, which was becoming more and more unpopular to the Government's handling of the situation.

What came during that night, was first, the projection of the exit polls for the constituencies, there was 217 constituencies that were up for grabs after the last electoral law. In the exit polls, the Conservatives were projected to win 84 constituencies out of 217, the National Labour Party was projected to win 51 constituencies, the Liberal Party was projected to secure 38 constituencies, the Moderates were projected to win 21 constituencies, the Greens projected to win 17 seats and finally, the Hosian Democrats finish dead last with 6 constituencies secured. A total wipeout for both the Hosian Democrats and the Radical Democrats, the former failing to make gains and the latter being totally wiped out from the Chamber of Representatives for now, but this wipeout was expected for most analysts as both parties traditionally perform in a more convincing manner in the proportional representation field.

Then the numbers for proportional representation arrive, the Conservatives secured 62 seats (28.5 %) in the Chamber's allocated seats for proportional representation, bringing their total number of seats to 146, the National Labour Party secured 44 seats (20 %) in the Chamber of Representatives, bringing their total numbers to 95 seats, their lowest performance ever, the Moderates secured their best performance yet, winning 35 seats (16 %), taking advantage from both the Conservatives and Labour's exposed flanks and flaws among many voters to push themselves as a respectable alternative to both the Conservatives and the Labour Party, that brings the Moderates' total number of seats to 56, the Liberal Party secured 14.5 % of the vote, winning 31 seats in the Chamber of Representatives, bringing their total number of seats to 69, becoming the House's third-largest delegation.

The biggest loser of this election are the Greens, who continues their decline, after only winning 17 constituencies, the Greens secured 20 seats (9.5%) in the proportional representation seats, bringing their total number of seats to 37, down from 38, while, it should be considered that if the Chamber of Representatives was already expanded during the last term, the Greens would have lost more seats than they have now, only losing one seat in their caucus, it should noted though that the Greens are no longer the fourth-largest party, being down to the fifth-largest party. The Radical Democrats secured their best performance yet, winning 13 seats (6%) in the Chamber of Representatives and the Hosian Democrats came last with 12 seats, nonetheless bringing their seats numbers to 18 seats, leaving the last spot to the Radical Democrats.

The Conservatives are triumphant, the National Labour Party is crushed, out of 434 seats, the Tories hold 146, becoming the first largest party and securing a plurality securing their place of prominence to become the next Government. Hypothesis are hard to make, although, out of every scenario possible, the Conservative-Liberal Government would secure 215 seats, two seats shy from the absolute majority of 217 Members of Parliament (Chamber of Representatives), basically making such scenario impossible, a Conservative-Moderate coalition government (United Right) would be at 202, alongside support from the Hosian Democrats, winning an outright majority with 220 (+3 majority), a Conservative-Liberal-Moderate coalition government would secure a majority of 276 seats, a large majority to govern and leaving the Opposition with mere scraps.

Although the prerogative of forming a government remains with the Conservative leader, who was happy when making his victory speech, a normal sight when considering his electoral victory.
