COMMISSARIAT OF AGRICULTURE GRANTS SUBSIDIES TO FARMERS IN NEED
An attempt to absorb the economic shock caused by the first harvests of GMO-crops


While consumers appreciate the lower prices of bread, fruit, vegetables wine and coffee due to an immense rise in productivity caused by the increasing usage of GMO crops, many small private landowners, especially winegrowers are facing bankruptcy. Commissar Sojknabo reacted swiftly and presented his aid package in a press conference. As a transitional solution, farmers affected by the low prices of agricultural goods will be able to apply for subsidies and low interest loans. These financial aids will be tied the condition of agreeing to consolidate and democratize agricultural businesses in the long term. To re-stabilize prices in the agricultural segment Sojknabo also announced that in collaboration with the Commissariat of Trade and the Commissariat of Foreign Affairs the Executive Committee will establish contacts and provide the necessary infrastructure to massively increase exports of said goods in a timely manner.
