Leaked documents show talks between Amudim authorities and Valruzian presidency to relocate Yeudi citizens

Documents were made public this morning certifying the existence of talks between the Valruzian presidency and Amudim authorities to “promote and encourage” the “relocation” of Valruzian citizens who identify themselves as "Yeudis". According to the latest official surveys of 5640, Yeudism is the second most followed religion in Valruzia with 15%, behind Hosianism (30%) and at a great distance from the prevailing irreligious position (52%).

According to the leaked documents, in return there would be an offer from the Amudim authorities to cede to Valruzia a favorable liquidation or capital tax alleviations for the transfers in regards to their assets. The leak, which occurred just a few hours before the monthly government control session in the Sejm, occupied a large part of the discussion in parliament, with accusations and reproaches from the political parties present in the chamber.

Moments before the control session, the office of Chancellor Nowik announced the immediate dismissal of the Minister of Migration, Wiktoria Kulbacka, who appears as another of the Valruzian authorities, together with the President, involved in the negotiations, in addition to announcing an investigation in all ministerial departments in order to determine responsibilities.

"[Szymon] Nowik is tremendously pissed off" say sources close to the Valruzia chancellor "For someone who is quite obsessed with controlling what happens around him, the fact that something like this happened under his nose without realizing it is a hard blow, and one that may splash back on himself. The President's actions behind the back of the government are of extreme concern and need to receive the highest condemnation". 

During the control session in the Sejm, the leader of the opposition Ksenia Brosz, from National Renewal, accused the government of “anti-yeudism” and of targeting “millions of Valruzia citizens”. On the contrary, the Chancellor himself took the floor to reproach that the most implicated in the scandal is the President of Valruzia herself, Szymona Razem, whom he reminded that she was elected to the post as a candidate of the coalition formed by, among other parties, National Renewal. Moreover, Nowik has announced that he will propose to the Sejm to initiate the procedures for the dismissal of the President as provided for in the Constitution of Valruzia, for which 2/3 of the votes in favor (401 votes) are required, and where the post would be occupied on an interim basis by the Marshall of the Sejm until new presidential elections are held in four years. However, it is not clear that the impeachment motion can succeed, since the parties that have announced their vote in favor - Sovereign Valruzia, KPW and Dignity and Progress - have a total of 385 votes, so they would need at least 16 votes from a member of the Forward Valruzia coalition - National Renewal, National Salvation or Agrarian Voice - or more improbably from the far-right Valruzian Alliance. The latter have stirred up controversy once again by claiming that the President's actions “were not misguided” and that the Yeudi “are not really Valruzian citizens, but external agents to destabilize our society”.

"This government has acted swiftly. The Minister of Migration has already been dismissed from her position, I have launched an investigation in the rest of the ministerial cabinets and I am proposing the dismissal of the President for these serious acts against our citizens. Now, from the opposition, what exactly have they done? Did they not do a deep research in their own candidates to see that President Razem is a blatant antiyeudist?".

As the Valruzian political crisis escalated during the day, President Szymona Razem broke her silence in a televised address, denying any wrongdoing and insisting that the discussions with Amudim were "exploratory talks" aimed at addressing "mutual economic concerns", not a formal agreement.

"At no point did I, or any member of my office, endorse or approve any policy targeting Yeudi citizens"

Razem stated.

"These leaks are being weaponized to destabilize my presidency and undermine Valruzia’s sovereignty."

Her defense has done little to quell the outrage. Yeudi community leaders have condemned the revelations, with its highest representatives in Valruzia calling the talks "a betrayal of our people and our nation’s values". Protests have erupted in major cities, including Nowogard, Brzansk, and Szary Kamien, with demonstrators demanding Razem’s resignation.

Meanwhile, Chancellor Nowik’s push for impeachment has now exposed deep rifts within the Forward Valruzia coalition. While National Renewal’s leader, Ksenia Brosz, has stopped short of endorsing Razem’s removal, factions within her own party are pressuring her to abandon the President, and some deputies of Agrarian Voice are inclined to support the motion, although others call the scandal "a distraction from real issues like rural poverty". National Salvation also remains divided, with some members urging Razem to resign voluntarily to avoid a prolonged crisis and hardliners dismissing the allegations as "a coup by Nowik’s elitist clique" since "the communists lost the presidential election".

in reference to the KPW's affiliation of Marshall of the Sejm Tatjana Borkowska - who was not her own party's presidential candidate after she was pushed aside by the KPW's leadership.

If the impeachment vote fails, political analysts warn that this might be the worst political crisis that Szymon Nowik has faced until now, although many agree that his swift actions have saved him from the worst part.
