Foreign Secretary to engage in week-long tour of Selucia, Pontesi and Malivia; New Ambassador appointed in Baltusia.

Fort William - The Foreign Office has announced that the Foreign Secretary would engage in a 1-week long tour of three states, these being Malivia, Pontesi and Selucia. The Foreign Secretary's visit will be focused on strengthening the defence commitments of the Luthorian Empire towards the south of the continent, where traditionally that role was filled by Narikaton and Darnussia and the 3rd Point Federation. The Foreign Secretary's visit will be travelling in these three countries in a context of general weakening of the 3rd Point Federation and of increased Luthorian presence in the aftermath of an official agreement having been signed with Sholemberg over the permanent basing of the Luthorian task fleet, which was sent in Yishelem in 5642 and remained in the area in Sholemberg ever since.

The Foreign Secretary's visit was discussed beforehand with the permanent embassies of these three countries and within the Cabinet. First in the agenda, the Foreign Secretary will meet with the new representatives in Malivia - which came into power thanks to a coup - and discuss a long-term plan for the development of bilateral relations between the two Artanian nations, while also talking about Malivia's future in the 3rd Point Federation. Porchey's visit is aimed at enlightening the Luthorian Government upon the intentions of the new regime that has risen up in the south of her continent and finally discussions upon a resumed and permanent diplomatic representation will be reinstalled - the Luthorians seemingly having maintained low diplomatic representation in Malivia due to the decentralised nature of government.

The Lord Porchey would then embark towards Selucia and would meet with the two Consuls amid increased tensions with Amudim - Lord Porchey expressed hopes that "the current crisis may be resolved diplomatically" - instead of turning into a full-blown war, which would be catastrophic for the stability of international shipping in the Migrants' Pass - the Foreign Secretary remained optimistic that the "issues relating to bilateral Selucio-Yeudi relations will be resolved diplomatically - for the greater good of all" - in Selucia, he will meet with Selucian representatives like the two Consuls, in a bid to reduce tensions between Beiteynu and Selucia. Foreign Secretary Porchey is expected to offer both to Amudim's authorities and to the Selucians an opportunity for a conference in Fort William to resolve their differences - peacefully for that peace and calm be restored to the Area.

Finally, to conclude this trip, the Foreign Secretary would go to Pontesi to meet with representatives in the nation - in an effort to expand diplomatic relations in Majatra, a region where Luthori has traditionally been absent, other than this, the visit isn't expected to be focused on other things than the Pass' security and general polite statements of goodwill. It is also important to note that the Foreign Secretary will not be visiting either Narikaton and Darnussia or any of the small city-state now forming Amudim, the message is complex and perplexing, but the fact that the Foreign Secretary isn't visiting both nations, where business related to collective security will be conducted by the Ambassadors in each states might be giving an intriguing message.

In other news, with the victory of liberal Radicals in Baltusia, the Foreign Office extended its congratulations to the Baltusian government for hosting its second free and fair elections after decades of Syndicalist rule, the Luthorian Government described the elections as a "show of force of the resillience of democratic institutions" around the world, and as such, appointed Sir Jeoffrey Howes, Lord Howes as new Luthorian Ambassador to Baltusia and head of the Luthorian diplomatic mission in Baltusia, who will aim at "reestablishing" diplomatic contacts between Luthori and Baltusia, he's expected to receive his credentials in a month from now.
