Visit from Istalia, exploring new relations & trade chances
A new partner for Mordusia?
September 5646
Randworth - With the announcement of a formal visit to Mordusia by the new Istalian government the Foreign Ministry announced that minister Caroline Blackwood is delighted by this new opportunity. According to the ministry the Foreign Ministry itself is seeking new avenues to expand the diplomatic and economic relations with various states.
The first on the list is Istalia itself, the Foreign Minister has given orders to prepare for the arrival of officials from the Istalian government. Talks will be held on the future relations with Istalia. For the Mordusian government it is important that the security and trade relations are discussed. The Commonwealth has gained more protective support from the Holy Luthorian Empire with the stationing of a naval tactical group. It is reported that the Istalian government wants reassurances and discuss how the Sea of Lost Souls can be protected and the Commonwealth and its Imperial ally not form a threat to their nation. The Foreign Ministry has let the media know that its open for these talks with Istalia but that the fleet will remain as long as Luthori desires it and wishes to aid Mordusia.
On the Mordusian mind is more the possibility of economic trade and cooperation on mutual development. Over the years Mordusia has vastly invested in its infrastructure and with Istalian and others investments into Mordusia the nation can act more as a transit hub that before. Already the cooperation between the ports, factories and inland transportation aids both Mordusian companies and the Luthorian shipping companies operating in Mordusia. With Istalia the Mordusians hope on mutual trade but also to be the main route to bring goods from Canrille and Vascania or Dovani to Istalia. The trade relations could also bolster national industries and the exploitation of natural resources. Something the National Party-led government has been pushing for during their first term.
