Amedeo Sperandio will represent Istalia at the 38th Festival of Musical Arts of Terra (FOMAT), hosted in Kalopia in the city of Ammopoli. After hosting the previous edition, acclaimed by audiences and critics for its exceptional organization and artistic level, Istalia is now preparing to participate with one of its most iconic and distinctive figures on the music scene of the last thirty-five years.

Singer-songwriter and experimenter, Sperandio has crossed genres and decades with an always original approach. From pop music to lyrical composition, he has been able to create a recognizable and profoundly varied musical universe. Unforgettable are his songs such as "Mondi lontanissimi", "Minima immoralia", "Gira tutto intorno alla stanza", "Vivere a un'altra velocità" o "Chi se ne va che male fa?" ed "Essere speciale", both now considered classics among love ballads. Equally appreciated are his more cryptic and introspective songs such as "Avrei bisogno di..." o "Melodie Spensierate". But Sperandio did not limit himself to light music: he signed three operas that were successfully staged, showing a rare ability to range between registers and artistic languages.

In recent years, the artist had taken a break from the scene, dedicating himself to other projects: the latest opera "Taimanz", inspired by the mythological Qolshamite hero, and an intense pictorial activity. His return took place last year with the album "È stato un sogno", warmly welcomed by the public and critics. The single "Imprigionato a te" was taken from the album, which marked his return to the main music platforms.

It will be from this work that the song in competition at FOMAT will be presented: "Il cielo sopra noi". A song that reflects the artist's mature and refined path: an initially intimate and confidential melody, which gradually opens up towards broad and dreamy sounds, reaching a peak of emotional and musical intensity, and then returning to the original delicacy.
