Imperial Wedding Held for Prince Hanseong and Princess Seoyeon
Today marked the state wedding of Crown Prince Baek Hanseong and Princess Taeyang Seoyeon of the House of Taeyang. The House of Taeyang, also known as the House of Hwangje, were the previous rulers of the Grand Imperial Union of Dankuk and descend patrilineally from the House of Kim that ruled the ancient Kingdom of Pyeonghae.
Foreign delegates in attendance at the reception at Jesu Palace included from the Xsampan Democratic Republic Custodian Wangdue Tenzin and Premier Ngawang Delacroix, from the Kingdom of Egelion His Majesty, King Romulo and Royal Councilor Mondragon, from the Kingdom of Hutori Princess Charlotte, the Grand Duchess of Lagard, Foreign Minister Theoder Penner, from the Empire of Anato and Kalistan Crown Princess Margaret Ananto-DeLaurentis and her acquaintance, Mr. Matthew Westmoreland, from Vorona President Eugene Netherwood, from Lodamun Vice-President Eric Taylor, from Bianjie Khan Erdeni, from the Holy Luthorian Empire HIH Princess Charlotte, Princess Royal and the Rt' Hon. Sir Tom Villiers, Lord Privy Seal, Minister of Foreign Affairs Arken Begum, and Emperor Alessandro V and Empress Claudia.
This wedding marks the union of the warring houses of Taeyang and Baek, which long ago contested for supremacy over the Dan Peninsula for centuries during the dynamic and defining period of Baegukese history known as the Three Kingdoms Period. Although the Baek Kingdom of Gongmangdo was ultimately victorious in uniting the polities into the First Kingdom of Baeguk, there remained wounds in the national fabric and the Houses continued to feud. The love and reconciliation demonstrated today finally ends a brutal chapter in Baegukese history and is a hopeful sign of the resilience of the Baegukese people to endure and bury past hatchets.
Long life and happiness for the Crown prince and princess!
