New V-8 rail project announced, presidents son enters politics!

President Jozef Otčenáš has announced that to continue to invigorate the economy, create jobs, and improve the infrastructure that in conjunction with Hutorian and Kundrati firms, the new V-8 rail project has begun. This new project will begin the creation of a new 4 lane rail line beginning in the north coast of Peghonai linking to the capital and finally ending at the Jildrath coast to connect with the largest national dockyards recently repaired with aid from Selucia. This project contract was awarded to the Kundrati state owned company, "Valstar Constructions", having decades of experience in massive infrastructure projects. Historically Valstar personally oversaw the construction of Industrial district Lirnak and the original Jildrath naval dockyards. They have set a 4 year goal to complete the project, and expect to employ 250,000 workers within a budget of 50 billion Kuno. This project once completed will allow a huge amount of material and people to move through the country cutting transit costs and time in half compared to auto transit.

In other news, the presidents son Ludvík Otčenáš has announced his full time commitment to political pursuits. In a shocking move to many however, he accepted an offer to step in as head of the Fatherland Front party as opposed to the NRP. Many believe this may be a father son rivalry, or perhaps a sign of a differing of political alignment. Regardless, Jozef Otčenáš stated he supports his sons decision and looks forward to cooperation with the FF in the Politburo as new proposals are soon to arrive at the presidents desk for approval. The FF saw a surge of new members following the announcement, many saying they are happy to see young blood in politics. Ludvík may be one of the youngest leaders of a party at only 32 years old, but is certainly one with a decorated past. Like his father Ludvík fought in the 2nd Kundrati war having been a member of the presidential guard before the conflict began, and was decorated with a multitude of commendations for bravery and wounds. He left the military as a 1st Lieutenant and helped form a veterans association to help thousands of men come back to civilian life, receive mental and financial aid, and bring old friends together. Pravda recently broadcasted his ascension to head of the FF during his announcement speech;

"My comrades of the great Kundrati nation, it is my honor and privilege to be given this role to serve this great nation under the fatherland front. I come out from amongst you all, I stood beside many of you here in the years of the war. From my adolescence in the Sladek youth, to defending the streets of Legionaria, to helping my comrades in the post war and clearing landmines in my free time, my life has been one that I was taught was righteous; Selflessness and sacrifice. But through perseverance, enduring hunger and hardship, I pulled myself up as you all have. We cannot, must not, forget what makes this country the greatest in Terra, and that is our determination despite all odds. Since the day I entered politics I have had only one desire and goal, and that is the Kundrati people. The workers, the farmers, the builders, these are the greatest of Kundrati and always have been. We are not a nation of bourgeois would be intellectuals as can be found around the globe, and though we may not possess the great treasuries of blood money of international capital, a nation can never truly prosper if it is morally bankrupt. God, fatherland, family, these are the tenants of a great nation, and they always will be our greatest ideals. In this era of decadence and profligacy we must be like steel, in a world that hates us we must endure, Kundrati has and always will be alone in this Terra, yet what do we want for abroad that cannot be found at home! With the help of my fellow members of the FF and the NRP, I give you my word, we will mold Kundrati into the nation that once was feared and respected by all, we will transform our Kundrati into the factory of Artania. There is nothing we cannot achieve, no goal too high, no obstacle too strong for us. Hail Kundrati!"

Many speculate if Ludvík Otčenáš will make a gambit for the presidency in the future elections, but as it stands the Fatherland Front grows by the day, especially since the acension of Ludvík. Perhaps even a merge of the NRP and FF could be possible given their alignments, only time will tell.
