President Kommenda at a interest group meeting
While the VVP-led Kommenda administration is trying to offset the high domestic food prices with cheap imports from the agricultural focussed Zardugal, the government is faced with increasingly larger protests from the left and liberal wing of the political landscape. The Dual Republican Farmer's Union has started agitating and supporting the protests, they've been continously critizing the governments hyper-liberal stance on the markets, or rather the food market specifically. They have a hard time maintaing their businesses and not enough ressources to expand their operations due to large corporations buying surroundings lands which would otherwise be prime real-estate for agricultural operations. Sven Fohlen, leader of the union, has stated that he already tried to reach out to Kommenda and the Ministry of Trade & Industry but was basicly ignored. As the frustration is rising and discontent with conservative governance increases the VVP is struggling with unchanged polling lows.
