RECHTENBURG—This week, the Reform Party, under the leadership of Christopher Belfort, officially released its new campaign slogan for the next general elections at the annual National Reform Convention held in Rechtenburg, New Orange. According to Belfort, their slogan, "Ignite the Mordusian Spirit", highlights a call for initiating a devolution movement and developing the national culture.

During the convention, Belfort outlined the party's vision for decentralizing power from the capital to the regional governments, aiming to foster local innovation and self-determination across Mordusia's diverse provinces. He pitched that the movement was not just about political restructuring, but also about reigniting a sense of unity and pride in Mordusia's unique identity. The party will create its manifesto focused on strengthening regional economies, empowering local decision-making, and promoting cultural initiatives that feature distinct modern traditions in various regions. 

Supporters at the convention responded enthusiastically to Belfort’s speech, with many seeing the devolution plan as a way to address longstanding concerns over the central government’s heavy-handed approach. "This is about giving power back to the people," Belfort stated, adding that the proposed reforms would create a "new era of equitability and prosperity" across the country.

Reactions from everyday Mordusians were mixed. “It’s about time,” said Martha Byrne, a local shop owner in Rechtenburg. “For years, everything’s been decided in Randworth, and we’re left dealing with policies that don’t fit our needs. Maybe, we’ll finally get the attention we deserve.”

However, some citizens, such as Anthony Malloy, a civil servant, questioned the initiative and worried it might leave poor regions. “What happens when local governments don’t have enough resources to handle the extra responsibilities? We could end up with more inequality between the regions. I’m not convinced it’ll work.”

Farmers in New Orange, however, were largely optimistic about the reforms. “We’ve been fighting for better representation for years,” said John MacGregor, a third-generation farmer. “Right now, it feels like the capital makes decisions that don’t take the people outside Rimly into account. Belfort’s plan to empower regional governments could mean better policies for agriculture and rural communities like ours.”

Belfort’s slogan, "Ignite the Mordusian Spirit," struck a chord across the country. The Reform Party's push for devolution triggered a national conversation about the future of governance in Mordusia.
