AISA SPACE CENTER ON AL’FOSTAT WELCOMED

 Finance Ministry, February 17, 5661: The Monsoon asked Finance Minister Nazir al-Sayed what he thought of the lease to the Istalian Authority for Space and Aeronautics (AISA) of 250 square kilometers in western coastal Al’Fostat Muhafaza for a space center. The Finance Minister replied:
 

First off, Jumhuriat al-Badara is honored to be included in the space program by one of our traditional allies and trading partners.  We are well behind in technology; we are trying to catch up, but we are well behind.  This is a great opportunity for us.
 
This is also quite an undertaking.  The space center is for civilian and commercial purposes and will have launch pads, a mission control center, a large advanced radar installation a four and a half plus kilometer runway, and a number of technical and logistical support buildings as well as a dedicated port favcility.  We believe we will be in position to compete to provide for construction labor for these projects.
 
Further, we believe our citizens will find that there is potential for them to find  support and technical positions in ongoing operations at the AISA Space Center.
 
And our radio, television and wifi providers will be able to have access to the AISA satellite infrastructure free of charge. 
 
So again, we welcome the AISA Space Center to our shores.
